8 Lessons We’ve Learned in 2020

8 Lessons We’ve Learned in 2020

2020 has not been the kindest year for us. We have been deprived of the basic human need, contact and touch. The impact of the pandemic has been felt in all spheres of our personal and professional lives. But amidst this all, there have also been lessons re-learnt that we had forgotten on life’s tedious path. This year has made us look into our life from a very different perspective, it has opened our eyes to many aspects of our life that have always been present but we never paid any heed to them.

Reminiscing over the last year, here are some thoughts of mine that I absolutely had to bring forth and hear your thoughts on them:

1.The new normal has brought WFH (Work From Home) culture into our lives, and we have done our best to adapt to this change. Yet some business owners are seen venting out on their hard-working employees who, irrespective of everything, still commit to working to the whole 8-9 HRS. It is time we appreciate and send accolades their way and motivate them for the future.

2. To survive in the World Wide Web now, every business has finally adopted and adapted to the use of technology. Being out there, over the internet space, and getting accepted socially are the new key business strategies of this century.

3. Whatever bad may happen, will happen, all we need to remember is just deal with it and go over it. So just find an alternative way instead of bothering if you step what happens, if you go around what happens, if you stick to your shoes what happens. We, humans, disturb ourselves with so much unnecessary worry! Just look for another way and go further in life!

4. Making use of every minute of each day to learn, grow, and improve you is the best ROI with zero losses guaranteed.

5. Money available in cash might not be the trendiest fashion statement but it still is very important for those black days.

6. Every difficult situation can be dealt with and nothing is ever as bad as it looks like at the first sight. It could have been worse, so be grateful for what you have now. It might not be there tomorrow.

7. We all humans have come a long way as a team and done pretty well in beating down this virus. Let us continue taking care of ourselves by following simple rules like, wearing the mask, maintaining distance, and similar lockdown regulations, because when you care about yourself remember others are automatically taken care of.

8. Life is not all work and being cooped over a desk 24/7. Instead, life is very fragile and no one can guarantee how long we have. This year has been the biggest example of it all. So make the most of it with your beloved, your parents and kids, and everyone who matters to you.

Would love to hear more from you on any of the above reflections of mine. Pour in your thoughts in the comments section below. Also, do share what positive life lessons learned this year you are taking into the next year with you. Happy New Year everyone!

Insightful points, dear Kamelia. One more thing for me is that to live a life with frequent weekly workout/ exercises to keep physical fit and healthy.
