This is what culture should look like! I've worked for and led many sales teams, some of which were built on toxic culture. In sales, it’s challenging to balance individual targets and aspirations with teamwork and collective growth. At The Reward Collection, we've nailed this balance. Our culture is all about supporting one another and genuinely wanting every team member to succeed. As you can see from Nikhil’s screenshot, we get super hyped about great brands coming on board. I’m incredibly proud of our team, not just for their performance, but for their support for each other and their constant sharing of ideas to improve. As CEO, I believe it’s crucial to see employees not as working FOR me, but WITH me, building our vision together!

When Dad's microwave packed up, before he died aged 90, my unsuccessful attempt to buy a new one, engaged us in an unlikely marketing conversation. He was far happier to join his friends across the road at the village community centre, where a three course meal & a cup of tea was under six quid. Although it wasn't the cost, he just didn't have to prepare & cook. Dad had previously enjoyed the well marketed Wiltshire Farm microwave ready meals, but the banter, friendship & delightful staff, won every time, No marketing was required & the centre was full every day. I tried Amazon & a walk around Currys, & he eventually said; there's far too much choice, its too difficult, I can’t be bothered. Dad said that in his day, if you wanted to cook fast, everyone had the Prestige Pressure Cooker. For vacuum cleaning, it was a Hoover. A Gin & Tonic in the pub would be a Gordon's London. Of course he was right, there was only one important factor: Quality. The belief was that if the product was of good quality and available at a reasonable price, people would buy it. This eventually created monopolies & exploitation of customers. Then more companies entered the ring, with more competition, cheaper prices & reduced quality. Next came the World Wide Web, which changed everything. Over the past three decades, Internet marketing has descended to an unacceptable level of cunning & deception. It started with Alibaba, where you would search for the best price for your chosen named product. The long list of optional links, take you off into the seller's site, into the abyss of cheap deals, with no relationship to the original search. Months later an empty box would turn up, you'd only purchased a box, that's why the deal was too good to be true, after hours of senseless searching. eBay & Amazon use these tactics now, selling products for £1, with £25 delivery costs. Dad was in fact correct. To much choice & maybe he saw the deception. I agree with your post Hayley-Jane; simplicity, consistency, creativity & humour are indeed unbeatable. Integrated with the correct use of Big Data, transparency, personalisation, relevancy & agility will make the future battle for attention more exciting.

This is refreshing to see a company that has a healthy culture. If you think the culture of your company shouldn’t be your number one priority, you may need to take a look in the mirror and ask yourself why are you in business? If your answer is, it’s just for the money and there’s nothing in it for your employees. Then you’re stifling your business potential. A business with happy and has motivated employees will go 10 times further than any other company where the employees are unhappy, and unappreciated. Building a business without a healthy culture is like building a house on a foundation of sand. It may not collapse today, but one day it will.

A celebrity spokesperson has its benefits, and its liabilities. Dylan Mulvaney is a good, albeit extreme, example of the latter, but there are others (think Jared). And, of course, there are hundreds, perhaps thousands, of examples of the former. We have statistical proof, but doubt that anyone would need that since there is so much evidence from the marketplace. Our research indicates that the key to choosing a celebrity is identifying one with credentials in one’s target market (which we refer to as StreetCred), the breadth and depth of the celebrity’s celebrity (which we refer to as PeoplePower), the visibility of the celebrity throughout one’s TAM (from its bull’s eye to adjacent white space) and the celebrity’s willingness to accept performance based compensation (yes, even billion dollar celebrities expect to be paid). Some of this can be data driven, but the best decisions are subjective and based on experience. Who’s your choice for best and worst?

It is no easy feat, managing the social media for all brands at once as a 1 woman army. But it has been the most incredible learning experience of my life. In these 7 months, I have had to learn quickly, pick up as much as I can, and can honestly say I got 1% better every single day. It is peak season for our brands. It's the wild wild west! But the ever changing tasks each day keep things fun and exciting. Engage in activities that foster mindfulness and self-reflection, such as reading, spending time in nature, cooking, or pursuing hobbies. Set reminders for yourself to stay focused on your goals and avoid impulsive purchases. Recommendation 2: Create a Needs vs. Wants List Construct a detailed list of items you genuinely need or have been considering for a while. This list will serve as a guiding point for your purchases, preventing you from getting swayed by fleeting promotions and advertisements. When confronted with a tempting deal, remind yourself of your list and the true value of your desired items. Recommendation 3: Let Emotions Settle Before making any purchasing decisions, allow your emotions to settle. Close any email, social media tab, or TV program that triggered your buying impulse.
