On this Pink Shirt Day– let's stand together against bullying and promote kindness and inclusivity. It's important to recognize that bullying can have a significant impact on Indigenous communities in Canada. Indigenous youth may face bullying related to their cultural identity, heritage, or socio-economic background, leading to feelings of isolation and discrimination. By acknowledging the effects of bullying on Indigenous communities, we can work towards creating safe and supportive environments that foster respect, understanding, and acceptance for all individuals. Let's use Pink Shirt Day as an opportunity to raise awareness about bullying prevention and promote a culture of kindness and empathy within Indigenous communities. On this Pink Shirt Day, let's unite in solidarity to combat bullying in all its forms and strive to create a more inclusive and compassionate society for everyone, including Indigenous youth. #PinkShirtDay #BullyingPrevention #KindnessMatters #Inclusivity

Transforming stress and tension into growth, inclusion and belonging | Licensed Clinical Psychologist | WBENC and NMSDC Certified | Enterprising Women of the Year Honoree 2023
What does it take to start a difficult conversation? It takes a willingness to show up, to share, to listen, and a willingness to learn. It's easy for us to judge silence no matter what side of it we find ourselves on. When we have a story to tell, we don't know what will happen when we share it. We don't know what will change about how we are seen, received, or even how we will feel. When we are a learner we aren't sure how new knowledge might change how we see the world. Imagine if breaking the barriers of silence led to people being able to bring their resources forward to build more safety, connection, and positive change. That's the goal of our Community Conversations, and we need your voice to add to the dialogue! Consider joining us on Thursday, April 25th as we gather to learn from one another. https://lnkd.in/gHakEz8e
Join us on Thursday, April 25th at noon CST via Zoom for our first community conversation - Understand the Silence: Breaking the Barriers of Stigma. Founder @GOTU | Public Speaker & Innovator in Social Good Tech | Champion for Sexual Assault Survivors
If you're "1 in 5" or support someone who is, please take our survey. Click below post. 1 in approx. every 5 people has been impacted by a sex crime. If not you, then someone you know has been and is doing their best to navigate daily life. This daily grind can be especially hard for survivors. Unfortunately, our society doesn't properly support (primary and secondary) survivors because adequate information doesn't exist to influence the needed changes that can make daily life more manageable for us. GOTU is working to close this information gap via our biannual State of Survivorship Reports. The reports are creating off of surveys where we analyze survivor feedback to conduct research that is then shared with educators, law makers and community leaders in the hopes of creating systemic change. #change #impact #research #technology #education https://lnkd.in/eimhx2V7
