US GoM Development Alert! Beacon Offshore Energy has taken FID at its Winterfell project in Green Canyon. The subsalt Miocene field was discovered in January 2021 and appraised in January 2022. It will be developed as a 5-well tieback to the Oxy-operated Heidelberg facility. The target for first oil is Q2 2024, next quarter. This apparent rapid turnaround is misleading as the project partners have been developing the asset over the last c.18 months - however, it has taken time to finalize all the commercial agreements required. The impact of the Winterfell tieback to the Heidelberg spar underlines the benefits of an ILX strategy. Development is short-cycle, Oxy receives third party revenue, and the additional throughput will transform the spar's emissions intensity profile.

𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐮𝐬 𝐄𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐲 : 𝐀𝐦𝐛𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝟓-𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐧 Cenovus Energy plans to ramp up energy production by 19% over next 5 years. This is in tandem with Trans Mountain pipeline expansion coming online, signaling a pivotal shift in the country's oil landscape. Drew Zieglgansberger (Chief commercial officer): "signifies a fresh avenue into global markets, highlighting the possibility of enhanced market access and improved competitiveness". Production will boost to 950,000 boe/day, involving a substantial increase of 150,000 boe/day during the specified period. This growth anticipates additions of: 30,000 bbl/day from Foster Creek, 20,000-30,000 bbl/day from Narrows Lake, 15,000-20,000 bbl/day from Sunrise, and 45,000 bbl/day from West White Rose. Oil sands production is targeted at 700,000 bbl/day by 2028; 75,000 bbl/day increase over next five years. FourPhase has successfully deployed another #DualFlow desander system in the Americas Region, successfully restoring 20MMcf of gas per day. The well was previously shut-in for several years due to solids production. All erosion risk has been monitored and found to be of least concern. With this data, the operator will now be looking to deploy more units across their operations. This will help prevent early abandonment costs and leaving resources stranded in the reservoir. Buru Energy Ltd (ASX:BRU, OTC:BRNGF) CEO Thomas Nador joins Proactive’s Tylah Tully to discuss the new funding the company has secured to support its activities, including the drilling of the Rafael Shallow 1 #oil exploration well. This comes after the company ended its farm-in agreements with Sabre Energy Pty Ltd, following Sabre's failure to meet financial commitments. Buru CEO Thomas Nador emphasised the company’s resilience and commitment to preserving and growing shareholder value, despite this setback. To fund the Rafael Shallow 1 well, Buru has entered farm-in agreements with two entities linked to long-term shareholders, securing $3 million in funding. These agreements allow the entities to earn a collective 25% interest in the well, while Buru retains a 75% interest and full ownership of the Ungani Oilfield.
