What’s happening in CHV’s Crisis Program? As part of CHV’s holistic approach to healing trauma and supporting youth on their journeys, in addition to goal setting and action plans, there are regular opportunities for youth to express themselves and take time for themselves to explore who they are. 🧘♀️ Yoga is one form of recreation that CHV offers. Practicing yoga can change the structure of your brain🧠, and create new connections and activate the areas of the brain that are responsible for: • Learning • Memory • Attention • Awareness • Thought • Language • Neuroplasticity Another way that youth can express themselves, which can also be therapeutically beneficial, is through art🎨. Art can be a way to externalize trauma that is stored in the body.
