One of the Best Advice 💡 I have ever come across about Posting while #learninpublic I would like to add some ideas for Learn in Public posts: - Add an AI model to your simple Websites (like I did for my Portfolio and a Twitter Posting App) - Add a backend to a Frontend you built while learning from a YouTube Video - Create a Docker image for your application so that someone else can run it on their System - Combine 2 or more projects you built and post the usage and thoughts 💭 behind the combination What else?? Yes, AND you might wonder, what counts as "lasting change"? Well, we have evidence of what's possible! In the February issue of The Learning Professional, Rebecca Taylor-Perryman, Laura Meili, and Ariana Audisio wrote about Leading Educators partnerships with Charleston County School District and a district in Texas that have demonstrated significant post-pandemic gains for students as a result of ongoing professional learning. ⭐ Not only did these partnerships get rare student results, but they also built new habits, collaboration routines, instructional leadership capacity, and libraries of curriculum-based professional learning content that can be used to sustain improvement far beyond the initial investment. As I study the transition teachers need to make to implement structured literacy, the more I realize how powerful this concept is. Professional learning will take commitment of time and resources but will have a much stronger impact in the long run.
