Bronze Award for KLEIBERIT do Brasil ForMóbile 2024 After four days (June 30th to July 03rd 2024) of intense exchange of experiences and business generation, the 10th edition of ForMóbile 2024 came to the end, consolidating itself once again as a reference in South America and an important showcase for companies in the sector of which KLEIBERIT is an example. The largest furniture and wood industry fair in Latin America brought together more than 550 exhibiting brands and welcomed more than 50 thousand professionals and major players from the industry segments in five pavilions at São Paulo Expo. During the fair, KLEIBERIT focused its activities on the presentation of Biosustainable (BIO-based) adhesives for all operating areas of the company (Lamination, coating, edgebanding) and all technologies (PUR, EVA, PVAc, etc.) that they are manufacturing. Visitors were also able to follow demonstrations on the use and functionality of the products, as well as clarify doubts about the technologies, systems and operation. Having sustainable actions in the industry is a differentiator for the development of companies that seek competitiveness, responsibility and innovation. But, when we talk about being more sustainable, it is necessary to understand that this concept must be implemented not just in specific actions, but in the corporate culture, in order to involve all the company's decisions and actions, and this is what KLEIBERIT does. Araceli Silveira, VP of Sustainability and Audience at Informa Markets Latam said “More and more brands are acting on sustainability, whether in their business strategy or in the company's own initiatives. ForMóbile encourages them to follow best sustainability practices across the board, as society itself is demanding this.” With this in mind, ForMóbile created an awards program to highlight companies that encourage the implementation of a sustainable business culture in the fair's stands, and KLEIBERIT do Brasil won the Bronze award, where all components of the stand, including walls, floors and platforms, furniture, equipment and lighting were 100% reusable. Overall, ForMóbile 2024 was a success for KLEIBERIT do Brasil. 🌟Hello Else-Marie Malmek, we're excited to have you representing Juteborg Sweden AB as an exhibitor at LIGHTer International Conference on June 18-19! 🌟 What goals and expectations motivated you to join us as an exhibitor? - Juteborg’s goal is to “juteify” the participants at the conference! We would like to share knowledge of the natural fiber of jute, “The Golden Fiber”, and showcase high-tech jute composites, JuTech™, from our research projects, partly financed by the LIGHTer program. Jute is the most sustainable natural fiber in the world but remains largely unknown. Most people think of sacks and ropes and are unaware that jute can be used in high-tech solutions, for example, in the automotive industry, replacing glass fiber reinforcement in mold-injected composites. Considering the conference theme “Towards net-zero industry through lightweight innovation,” how does Juteborg contribute to this goal? - Jute is a lightweight material, and since it can replace glass fiber as reinforcement in many applications, the end product will be lighter. How much lighter depends on the material it replaces. Jute is also biodegradable, compostable, and the process from farmer to factory consumes a minimal amount of energy. Additionally, jute is a fast-growing crop, maturing in only 120 days and binds a significant amount of CO2 annually. What relationships do you hope to establish during the conference? - Juteborg seeks to be a development partner and wishes to cooperate with our end customers in the early design phases, as it is during these phases that the most crucial decisions are made regarding the sustainability of the end product. We are eager to explore more application areas for jute and, therefore, aim to develop more proof of concepts in close cooperation with companies primarily within the automotive, construction, interior, textile, and packaging sectors.
