This World Wide Technology Cyber Range event is designed as an advanced Red Team-style mixed Capture the Flag (CTF) exercise. Participants will assume the role of ethical hackers, tasked with simulating a sophisticated breach of an internal network, akin to real-world cyber threats. In the current landscape, thousands of organizations globally are confronting a new wave of supply chain ransomware attacks. A notorious group of hackers, known as The League, has claimed responsibility. In response, a consortium of these affected organizations has enlisted the expertise of SAVE to lead a counteroffensive. Participants in this event will undertake the critical mission of infiltrating The League's network to retrieve a release code, thereby reclaiming the compromised data. This exercise is not only a test of technical prowess but also a strategic challenge, reflecting the high-stakes environment of contemporary cybersecurity. https://lnkd.in/gMH6A9ax

Your fav sock puppet here! 🧦 In today's HackSolo.TV Log (October 2, 2024), we dive into the latest cyber chaos—no guest sock today, so it's just you and me! Cloudflare Mitigates Record-Breaking DDoS Attack: Cloudflare says they mitigated another record-breaking DDoS attack peaking at 3.8 terabits per second and 2.14 billion packets per second! That's like trying to drink from a firehose while riding a roller coaster! 🎢 Rackspace Data Breach: Rackspace suffered a data breach due to a zero-day vulnerability in a third-party tool. ScienceLogic, the tool's maker, declined to name the utility to avoid giving attackers any ideas. It's like saying, "We fixed the leak, but we're not telling you where it was. Good luck!" 🕵️♂️ Critical Zimbra Vulnerability: Security researchers are raising the alarm about a critical vulnerability in Zimbra, allowing attackers to execute commands without any authentication. So if you're using Zimbra, patch it faster than you can say "zero-day"! 🚀 CISA Warns of Years-Old Vulnerabilities: CISA warns that years-old vulnerabilities are still being exploited in the wild. Seriously, folks, patch your systems! These bugs are older than my socks, and that's saying something. 🧦 Struggling Cyber Threat Sharing Initiative: The U.S. government's flagship cyber threat sharing initiative is struggling due to plummeting participation and lack of engagement. It's like throwing a party and no one shows up. Maybe they should've offered pizza. 🍕 That's all for today's cyber shenanigans. Stay safe out there, and remember—keep your socks pulled up and your firewalls tighter! Back to the sock drawer! #HackSoloLog #CyberChaos #Cloudflare #DDoSAttack #Rackspace #DataBreach #Zimbra #ZeroDay #CISA #CyberSecurity #SockPuppet #CyberHumor #PatchYourSystems #CyberNews #Short
