"I was a third-grade student at the primary school, but with all schools currently closed, I am now residing in a school in El Abbassiya. I am eager to continue my education, though I am uncertain when it will be possible to resume classes. I can restart my education. I wanted to be a doctor. Dear LinkedIn Connections, Now a days I am observing a trend that more and more young professionals trying to escape from Pakistan and looking to settle in any first world country due to on going financial and law and order problems in the country. In my point of view all these young men and women are standing on the wrong side of history...! Instead of escaping from your country, it is your responsibility to work hard to fix the problems present in your country and make it a good place for living. Following are the 2 major problems that are root cause of all the problems that people are facing today that if fixed all the remaining problems will be fixed automatically: ➡️ Colonial beaucratic system. (By British Raj in 1858) ➡️ Colonial Education system. (By Macaulay in 1835) FAISAL REHMAT Safwan Ali Irshad Ahmad Ubaid Salman Mushtaq Hamza Liaqat Hafiz Muhammad Rehan Azhar Rana Arshad

Education should be practical!
As part of the Irish school curriculum, my 16 year old niece is required to job shadow for 4 weeks of the year. She asked to spend a week with me and there's no better way to do it than visiting a mine in Zambia. I think more schools should adopt this awesome initiative.

Shukran sahibzada mayed (صاحبزادہ مائد) for putting what I've been feeling and thinking especially over the past few days - but really for the past seven months and before as this didn't start on October 7th - into words. Link to original post: https://lnkd.in/d4NAbS-m All I'll add is a snippet from the emergency rally that was organised in the Liberated Zone for Gaza at SOAS University of London, earlier this evening. The energy was electric and it filled me with strength. EVERYONE should visit the encampments set up by students at one of their local universities, or the closest one to where they're based, and learn from and support the students. Those of us that work in education, no matter the capacity, seeing these students rise and stand up for what is right should be a wake-up call and should, frankly, make us question what exactly it is that we are contributing to with our work and how we are to reconcile what we claim to be doing as workers in education and our complicity with the dire state of our society. If you haven't already, pay a visit to your local student-led encampments, bring supplies with you (food, blankets, sanitary products, etc.) and take a cue from them as to how we are way past urgently needing to take responsibility & turning the tide. #FreePalestine #EyesOnRafah #StopTheGenocide 🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸 *Postings on this site are my own and they do not represent the views of Cengage Learning.

Despite the hardships endured over decades, that small piece of land has a surprisingly high literacy rate of 97%, more than the country that is attacking it. It’s a fake narrative blabbered on media that the oppressed have spent all their money on wea/pons and tunnels and not education. They lie. Even they know it’s a lie. This small piece of land has a literacy rate much better than many other countries that enjoy freedom and good economies. This shawl came from Pakistan via a friend. It has Arabic letters written all over it. I share this pic to represent the high value Palesti/nians put on education that is reflected by their literacy rate. I gifted one just like this one to a Dutch friend of mine. Unfortunately, apart from hospitals, so many of schools, colleges and universities have been completely razed to the ground. I ask you a question that who in the civilized world bom/bs schools? The answer to that question is, “What civilized world are you talking about?”

Now that we all see how severely corporate media and corporate owned politicians are willing to lie to us, can we finally look at the rest of the narratives we have been sold for what they are? Here are a few threads: Who caused the Cold War? How did the Cuban Missile crisis get resolved? What is Osama bin Laden’s connection to the Soviet-Afghanistan War in the 1980’s? Do you still believe 9-11 occurred because they hate our freedom or was it blowback for US foreign policy (see BBC documentary “Why we Fight”)? Since the Soviet Union stood down, how has Russia expanded compared to NATO? Did Poland, Germany and France abdicate from their sponsorship of the Minsk Agreements? Did Boris Johnson scuttle a peace agreement between Ukraine & Russia in Turkey? How did Iran become part of the Axis of Evil? Did the U.S. participate in the overthrow of a democratically elected governments in Iran (1950’s) and Ukraine (2014)? Who actually blew up the Nordstream pipeline causing the worse GHG emissions disaster in modern history? What remains of the U.S. justification for attacking Iraq and hanging Saddam Hussein? What remains of the justification for the global economic sanctions against Russia for the War in Ukraine? See past the lies.

What I see on the news is what I learnt at school « would never happen again ». But it is. It has never stopped in fact. Gaza is not just the news you might not want to talk about. Gaza is people, toddlers, teachers, grandparents, friends, artists, lovers, human beings. It has changed me to see people annihilated in the name of… of what? What is happening under our eyes is the story of racism, colonialism, white supremacy. It’s Congo, Haiti, Sudan. And all of this for what? I’ll spell it out for you, it is capitalism, power, greed. What I see on the news is what I learnt at school « would never happen again ». But it is. It has never stopped in fact. So the war - that is not one anymore, that has not be one for a long time - will stop, at least in appearances. But it won't really. As long as it is fuelled by the powers in place. As long as it is reported by mainstream media the way it is. What should never happen, again, will again and again, covered by politics and medias justifying it. They don't have my trust, my support anymore. They have not for a long time. Because they never had my back. Instead I am fuelling my power. I refuse to stand by and say there is nothing I can do. It might be the worst thing I could do if I learn from those who resisted: “The worst possible outlook is indifference that says, “I can’t do anything about it; I’ll just get by.” Behaving like that deprives you of one of the essentials of being human: the capacity and the freedom to feel outraged. That freedom is indispensable, as is the political involvement that goes with it.” Stephen Hessel Will you join me in outrage, words, actions to make sure those who sell countries, land, people, future are stopped so humans here, there, you, me are not going to pay the price of their greed?
