It’s show time! Ever wonder what the secret sauce of television integrations are? Integrations are paid segments on television talk shows that endorse but don’t endorse, wink-wink. Think no more! The formula can be thought of as the 3C’s: 1. Celebrity Attraction 2. Content 3. Compliance Celebrity attraction has historically lent itself to endorsement and television integrations have found their way into the lineup of programming as Dr. Phil, Sherri Shepherd, Tamron Hall, Inside Edition, NewsMax and more. Viewers are influenced and listen closely when their “favorite” celebrity educates and informs them of relevant topics for enriching their life. The content of these segments usually 4-5 minutes needs to be brand centric with response marketing objectivity. Make no mistake the secret sauce lies in a call to action (CTA) leading to an 800-toll free number or URL or both shared in graphics and often in a lower third bar across the screen. The compliance? Always a source of importance depending on what the segment is about. With insurance, for example, there is governmental regulations that require disclaimers and hand cuff language. With other genres, disclaimers are vetted with network legal teams as well as from the “sponsor brand” paying for the integration. For more information contact THOR Associates CEO, Fern Lee. She’s been referred to as the "Queen of Talk Show Response" and happy to share the secret sauce with your product and brand! #televisionmarkeitng #celebrityendorsement #thorassociates

Why isn’t Live dying as people predicted? For years people have expected ‘on demand’ to totally kill off live. The flexibility of consumption offering too much of a pull for audiences who live in a ‘now’ culture. But it just doesn’t seem to be happening. - The Traitors averaged 5.4 million live viewers each week - Super Bowl LVIII was the most watched live event in US TV history And we even see this translate on an everyday level, where Dizplai partner The United Stand go live to tens of thousands daily on a set schedule in the morning, afternoon and evening. I think the essence of live still taps into some inbuilt human traits. 👉 One part structure and habit 👉 One part shared experience 👉 One part audience engagement If you can consider the role human psychology makes in your live content, you’re on the road to success. #broadcast #sportsbiz #ott

🎙 Excellent Podcast🎙 In this episode, titled "Were TV Ads Better in the Old Days?" (link in the comments ⬇️), we dove into a discussion about the nostalgia-inducing world of classic UK television commercials. 📺 With hosts Matthew Newman, Kevin Owens, and Marc Runkee, we explored a series of advertisements that not only entertained but told captivating stories. Here are 3 key takeaways from this episode: 👉 The Cultural Impact: We discuss how these advertisements became cultural moments. Unlike many modern ads, these classics had a lasting impact that resonated with audiences and became a part of the cultural fabric of the time. 👉 The Music: One fascinating aspect of these commercials was the use of music. We explore how the music became a key element that elevated the storytelling and even went on to become popular chart singles, adding an extra layer of connection for viewers. 👉 A Blend of Familiarity and Innovation: With references to cartoons from the 80s and a certain visual style, these commercials managed to feel both nostalgic and fresh. They blended in perfectly with the cartoons we grew up watching, creating a familiar yet captivating experience. Trust me, it's a trip down memory lane you won't want to miss! 🎉#TripodBehindTheCreative #TVAds #Nostalgia #Advertising

Television Made You - Entertainment? Propaganda? Programming by industry name. How many years has the TV screen in all its various sizes, stolen from your presumably sane life? Living vicariously through game shows where women of all shapes and sizes jump up and down when the charismatic and gamesome Bob Barker, tightly holding his microphone shouts out, “Come on Down.” You can just see the chills running up and down the spines of all of those glued to their TV screens every weekday morning. Every housewives' vicarious dream is to be on stage with Bob and other contestants and ultimately land a new Frigidaire. . The shut-ins of all genders after they feast on the game shows can catch up on the daily soaps. As The Something Another World Turns starts the afternoon lineup. Life is good with afternoon snacks tightly held in each hand. Mustn't miss out on the grains of sand filtering through the hourglass of time. . The evening news: Where the realities of the world are blurred and carefully choreographed soundbites that are not so clearly designed to make you feel informed but always leaving you with unimaginably and unanswered questions. . The breadwinner, whether it be man or woman walks through the evening door hungry for dinner. What could possibly be a more appetizing way to end a hard-working day? Sitting down with a freshly heated TV dinner perfectly ensconced on a well-positioned TV tray, just the right distance from the flickering black and white TV that in some time, in the not-too-distant future, will be in living Peacock color. . Those were the days of our lives in 1973. The times were… . Please enjoy reading the rest at: https://lnkd.in/gpZffDnz It’s free to do so. Here’s how Janet Jackson’s nipple is responsible for one of the biggest social media platforms ever. Picture this: It’s February 1st, 2004. The location is Houston, Texas. The event is the Super Bowl 38 halftime show. Justin Timberlake and Janet Jackson are this year’s performers. In the middle of the song ‘Rock Your Body’, Timberlake tears off a part of Jackson’s costume, exposing her right breast for a split second. The incident, now referred to as Nipplegate, sent America into a meltdown. 😲 Broadcasters received 540,000 complaints. 😲 Timberlake and Jackson were sued by a Tennessee banker. 😲 The FCC doled out almost $8 million in fines to broadcasters such as CBS and Viacom. 😲 Janet Jackson's songs were blacklisted from being played on MTV and a large number of radio stations, and she was forced to resign from an acting role she had just taken. 140 million people around the world saw this incident happen live. However, three people didn't: Jawed Karim, Steve Chen, and Chad Hurley. They were frustrated that they couldn’t find a video clip of the incident. So they took matters into their own hands and created YouTube. In October 2006, YouTube was bought by Google for $1.65 billion. It’s now worth around $183 billion. All because of an unplanned ‘wardrobe malfunction.’ So, if you want to get more eyes on your products and services, give me a shout. I won’t get my nipple out to help the cause. But if you want to, I’ll happily write about it for you. So, rip open my creative bustier and expose this link to find out more 👇 #superbowl #superbowlsunday #thesuperbowl --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi, I'm Ste, the Comma Chameleon.
