OXCCU TECH LTD joins campaign backing sustainable aviation fuel production ✈️🍃 Oxford clean tech startup OXCCU has joined the RISE coalition in support of the Back British SAF (sustainable aviation fuel) campaign. The industry-wide initiative is urging the UK government to fast-track the SAF Revenue Support Mechanism Bill to ensure the nation meets its target of having five SAF plants under construction by 2025. The Back British SAF campaign, supported by the UK’s major airlines, airports, and fuel producers, aims to position the UK as a global leader in SAF production by ensuring the necessary investment is secured for domestic SAF plants. Swedish Candela raises €25 million to propel electric hydrofoil ferry production Candela, a Stockholm-based electric vessel manufacturer, has closed its largest funding round of €25 million, with key investment from Groupe Beneteau, a global boat maker, along with EQT Ventures, Ocean Zero LLC, and Kan Dela AB. Candela’s hydrofoil craft use 80% less energy than other ships, offering long range and high speed on battery power. The company’s vessels are fully connected and equipped to handle choppy seas, providing a superior experience.
