In promising news for #medtech capital equipment manufacturers, hospital spending is expected to show strong growth in 2024. A Baird survey of health system CFOs representing over 600 US inpatient hospitals found that US hospitals are planning a likely 9% increase in capital spending next year. While some in the industry have expressed concern about a potential slowdown in capital spending growth, the forecasted 9% increase is higher than pre-pandemic growth and indicates a positive trend for hospital budgets and good news for many MedTech players. This spending is likely to be directed towards equipment for the elective procedure backlog that still remains post-pandemic, indicating that the growth may vary across clinical categories with spending on endoscopic cameras, operating room equipment, and procedural tools expected to see the most significant increase. At Health Advances, we are eager to assist our clients to take advantage of these growth opportunities, to grow sales and share, as well as working with others to navigate challenges, so those products and portfolios can also exceed growth forecasts. We look forward to a strong 2024 for the industry! Mariel Young, PhD MedTech Dive #hospitals #digitalhealth https://lnkd.in/eXX2jFrm

"To really deliver such sophisticated digital enterprise solutions at scale - that integrate devices, data, workflow, people - it's going to take a coalition of the willing. It's going to take a few partners, and each are their domain experts, to bring it forward. What's reassuring is that a lot of the providers are starting to recognise that Proximie has been doing this and only this for eight years. They are the domain experts." In a wide-ranging discussion between Joe Mullings and Dr. Nadine Hachach-Haram FRCS (Plast), BEM, at The MedTech Conference with AdvaMed last month, they discussed the evolution of Proximie and the shifting MedTech landscape for Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASCs), healthcare teams, and Proximie's unique position at the epicentre of this dynamic space.
