If you're an employer interested in providing a childcare benefit that's far more affordable and flexible than an onsite center, we'd love to talk! https://lnkd.in/gFTEqEA4
Not sure if people saw this amid all the layoff news, but Google and other companies have closed their onsite childcare centers. Google cited cost-cutting as the reason and General Mills cited a post-pandemic drop in usage as families preferred closer options. Companies that sell child care benefits to employers should think outside the box in terms of what solutions they offer. A one size fits all approach like an onsite center isn't going to work when workers are distributed, or when cost is a concern. And if cost is a concern for a trillion dollar company like Google, trust me it is for every company. At Winnie, we're betting that employers who want to provide childcare benefits will look to solutions that are more flexible and take advantage of the existing supply of child care providers, rather than trying to stand up entirely new centers. Time will tell if we're right!
