I am very excited to share this opportunity to invest in Tractor Ventures Pty Ltd with the help of Cheryl Mack and Aussie Angels. Its syndicates like these that enable more investors to get involved in opprotunities that would not normally exist for them. I am strongly hoping and encouraging my women peers to look at this opportunity. It’s FOMO for #investors! Quick Commerce will quickly become a liability for all companies in the race, and only the top two will reach positive EBITDA (not sure about PAT) after 18 to 24 months. Until then, keep pumping funds to provide the necessary runway. And after incurring continuous, significant burn 🔥 during this period, reaching breakeven could take an indefinite amount of time... By then, things will start lining up for an IPO, and public money will provide them with more runway. Save this message, and we’ll reconnect in a few months. However, it presents great opportunities for many #D2C brands to gain mileage through this platform, but they should not rely completely on it. Wishing great success to Quick Commerce 🙂

Congratulations to Nathaniel Olsen for his new research and innovation proposal to develop models for 🔥#WildfireSupression, #riskassessment, 🔮#predictivemodels, and 📚#resourcemanagement. As one of the two winning teams in Metron’s 11th Innovation Fund Tournament, Nathan’s proposal, “Bayesian Parameter Estimation and Monte Carlo Task Selection for Wildfire Suppression” will investigate the feasibility of dynamically updating parameters of wildfire spread models to improve the estimation of future fire perimeter states. Once developed, these models will be used in conjunction with resource allocation and task management to intelligently determine which tasks will best slow the rate of wildfire spread. The system would create a scalable framework for implementing autonomous firefighting systems that can also work alongside humans in the field. Metron established the Innovation Fund Tournaments to empower our employees, foster innovation, and cultivate a culture of continuous learning. It allows employees to compete for company-sponsored R&D funds to pursue their passion projects. Winners receive 6-months of funding to develop their ideas. There is no requirement that winning projects produce a product or tool that yields a financial gain for Metron; the goal is to provide an outlet for Metron employees' creativity and explore technologies outside of their funded projects. The 💡#Innovation Fund was the brainchild of Metron’s CEO Van Gurley and is led by Metron’s Chief Scientist Lawrence Stone to provide a channel for employees to pursue their innovative technical ideas or dream projects.
