Recruitment Consultant at Acceler8 Talent -Scaling HW/SW/AI startups across North America

The Semiconductor industry faces talent shortage impacting the U.S. economy's growth and competitiveness, as demand soars, semiconductor companies are stepping up production and innovation. Thanks to the CHIPS and Science Act of 2022, the U.S. secures new chip manufacturing and R&D. By 2030, the industry's workforce will grow by nearly 115,000 jobs, a 33% increase. However, around 67,000 jobs risk going unfilled due to talent shortages. Technicians, engineers, and computer scientists are in high demand. The challenge is broader, impacting the entire U.S. economy. Other critical technology sectors, such as clean energy, medical tech, AI, IoT, cybersecurity, and more, face a similar talent gap, competing for trained workers. By 2030, the U.S. economy will create 3.85 million technical jobs. Without expanding the talent pipeline, 1.4 million jobs risk going unfilled. Let's invest in education, and training to meet these challenges. #SemiconductorIndustry #TechRevolution #WorkforceDevelopment #STEM #Semiconductors #Jobs #Opportunity https://lnkd.in/ec5Thr93
