Great to have Dan James from Mind in Somerset pop in to the NFU Mutual Williton agency office this morning. As part of the NFU Mutual's Agency Giving Fund 2024 we donated £3254.50 to this wonderful local charity. Mind in Somerset has a core purpose to provide services & support to anyone affected by mental illness, improving their quality of life & well being. With a few projects coming up in the next few months we are so proud to be able to help support the team & get the message across of what they do. @MindInSomerset #MindInSomerset #AgencyGivingFund #NFUMutual #LocalCharity Pictured, NFU Mutual Senior Agent, Tony Monnington, Dan James from Mind in Somerset & Lily Saunders one of our Customer Service Advisors who has independently raised over £3000.00 for the charity in the past few years in memory of her dad Ashley.

The CSJ Foundation report: Our report found that the vast majority of charitable funding in the UK is skewed towards a small number of large charities at the top, as 85 per cent of all funding goes to just 4 per cent of all registered charities. In addition, the great impact of grassroots organisations is under-appreciated by many. Anxious Minds: Is this a misuse of the charity sector? It is extremely difficult to secure funding for professional mental health support #charitysector #northeast #mentalhealth

Two thirds of retail stock loss is driven by 10% of shop thieves!!!! These persistent and prolific offenders are often caught in the cycle of addiction, and if you don’t tackle the route cause you simply don’t tackle the problem!!! The NBCS foundation raisies money for some fantastic causes that helps and supports those individuals to break the cycle of addiction by addressing its route causation. Every single penny raised at this event will go to those just causes. Monies raised will not go into our profit pot, pay a large bonus to its employees or buy a fancy car. It will be put back into supporting those organisations that will ultimately help our industry. Next are proud to support the NBCS foundation and we hope that retailers, vendors and other organisations alike are prepared to do the same, please share this post as far and wide as you can. It’s simple…buy a table, invite your colleague’s, get dressed up, have a few glasses of wine or a beer or two, have a dance, enjoy a night of socialising with your peers and pretend your at the Eco Power Stadium or Anfield 😉, it really is as simple as that!!! Free and localised mental health support from healthcare professionals is a rare thing. Most of my generation rely on apps and the internet. Piecing together diagnoses from wellbeing articles, Google searches, questionnaires, podcasts and therapy delivered in 60-second form. Now that's not to say I don't love a day spent sifting for gold in the algorithm. I just figure it'd probably be better if I could talk to someone about it. And if that support had been available to me at a young age. YPCS - Young People's Counselling Service is a charity that delivers just this for children and young people across Cambridgeshire between 11 and 18. Free and localised mental health support, delivered by healthcare professionals in the community. More than 800 young people were supported by the charity last year - with a lot of its work being carried out in rural communities like Yaxley, Wisbech and across Fenland, as well as Peterborough. Today, YPCS is fundraising to keep its doors open. As awareness of mental health and demand for mental health provision both soar, those facilities that already exist are struggling. As a trustee, I would love to spend time understanding how that is, but the most pressing issue right now is keeping this vital local resource open to its community. So can you help us? The quick and kind ways are by donating to our cause (https://lnkd.in/ey2q_4Zw) and sharing this message! But beyond this, if you know of any funders or funding currently available, or if your business is seeking a charity to support this year, drop me a message! #saveypcs #mentalhealth #charityfundraising #cambridgeshire
What a milestone! We have now reached - and surpassed - 50 donations to our #SaveYPCS campaign. We would like to thank all of our incredible supporters for their belief in and commitment to both the charity and the young people it serves. However, we are still to reach our goal and ensure we can keep our vital mental health services open for those who need them. Last year we provided nearly 350 young people with therapy and counselling. How many more could we support this year, and beyond, with your help? If you are able, please consider donating to our JustGiving page: https://lnkd.in/e6BUGJ3E If you would like to fundraise for us, or have a story or an idea you'd like to share to fuel our campaign, please contact us at [email protected].
