The purpose of the #Layboy_section is to remove loose scrap from blanks leaving the die cutter, and to separate blanks into distinct streams of material so they can form bundles or stacks in the hopper. The Layboy is designed to assist in removing loose scrap from properly die-cut blanks, not to compensate for problems with the cutting die. After a sheet is cut in the die cutter, it passes into the Layboy section. Ideally, all edge trim and internal cutouts should be cleanly cut away in the die cutter, but scrap may still be mixed in with the product. The Layboy separates scrap from the blanks and disposes of it before the blanks continue onto the stacking conveyor. #Rotary_die_cutter #Layboy_section
