One of my favorite drills to avoid jerking the club back quickly is to put a ball behind the iron and roll the ball back on your takeaway instead of pushing it away quickly. This increases your awareness of how fast you’re taking the club back… Another drill for tempo is pausing at the top of the swing. This allows me to really feel the proper transition and I’ll know if I’m initiating the downswing with my lower body or my upper body. #GolfTips #GolfDrills #GolfSwing #GolfPractice

If the loft and lie of your clubs is not correct for your swing then it will affect the accuracy of your shots. The lie angle of a golf club is the angle of the shaft relative to the ground when the club sits flat at address. When adjusting the Lie Angle the goal is to achieve a consistent launch direction and a central strike. If the lie angle is not right for the player it will impact your ability to hit the shot you intend. If the lie is too upright it will cause the ball to start left with a hooking action. Flatter lie angles will cause the ball to start right with a slicing action. The correct lie angle is where the club’s sole is central at impact, this will start the ball on the intended target line.

Here is a trick to test if you’re standing in the proper putting setup! Set up to the putt and drop a ball from your eye and if the ball from your eye hits the ball on the ground you’re golden, if the ball from your eyeballs slightly inside that’s a good zone too, but you definitely want to avoid the ball falling over the ball on the ground when trying this trick. Save this tip for you to try next time you’re on the putting green! #GolfTip #GolfInstruction #Putting #PuttingGreen #PuttingSetup

Do you practice with long irons? If the longest iron you use in practice is a 7-iron, you'll get better at hitting it. Your 8-iron and 9-iron will also become easier to hit than your 7-iron. But when you go to use your 6-iron on the course, it will feel challenging because you haven't practiced with it. The 5-iron will seem even harder, and longer irons will be tougher still. However, if you practice, even just a little, with a longer iron like a 5-iron, your 7-iron will feel much easier to hit. Your short irons, like the 8 and 9, will seem almost too easy! If you use hybrids, having a long iron just for practice is still a good idea. Use it in practice, not play, and your iron game will improve significantly! #golf #golfers #golflife #golfschool #golfdallas #golfnyc #mikebury #mikeburygolf #breakingbury #break100 #break90 #break80 #breakpar

Pros make hitting from the sand look easy, but weekend warriors knows it’s anything but simple. Part of the reason these shots are so difficult is that the technique is different from any other shot on the course. Instead of trying to make contact with the ball, your goal is to cut underneath in the sand and blast the ball out. If you want to master this technique, you need to know one of the biggest mistakes to avoid: ball placement when setting up. When i go fishing i hike in & out with a backpack holding my rod & reel. I like to travel as light as possible. These insulated HD fold-up fish cooler packs are a Godsend! It takes up little space folded up in my backpack. When i need it it's well insulated! Just bleed the fish out in the bag when walking. Add water from time to time to keep it moist & cool. Main thing is to use that drain plug to drain the bloody water out before replacing it. Why? The blood will break down the meat so using this method will help maintain the freshness & flavor.

GOLF TIP TUESDAY Did you know the tee box is more than just where you start each hole? Think of the tee box as 'a Control and Distance' drill. 🔹 Placement: The better you position your tee shot, the better the opportunity for a successful approach shot. 🔹 Distance: Your driver might not always be the best choice if you want to avoid the rough, a bunker, or worse, the hazard. 🔹 Consistency: The more consistent you are off the tee - distance and accuracy - the better the opportunity to improve your Greens-In-Regulation. It's not always about hitting it as far as you can. It's about leaving yourself in the best position for your 2nd shot. The short grass is always better to score from than the rough, or sand, or OB! ⛳️ DRILL OF THE WEEK ⛳️ - The Width Of Arc Drill Do you struggle over-swinging, face to path issues or topping the ball alot ?🤔 The Width Of Arc Drill is for you.👇🏻 The drill concept is to widen your swing arc (distance between your swing center & your hands) to allow the arms to extend in the backswing, through impact & post impact to optimise middled strikes, club face stability & maximising centrifugal force for quicker club head speed. This drill is great for the golfer who over-swings, tops shots, thins shots & has trouble with club face stability at impact. The process is to place a long tee a foot ahead of your ball in-between your target & the golf ball you intend to hit. Next place another golf ball a foot behind the ball you intend to hit. Finally during your takeaway in the backswing try to push the spare ball away from the target (keeping the club head as low to the ground as possible) by keeping your arms extended & maintaining that extension through impact until your club head has clipped the top of the tee peg past your ball to optimise your width of arc radius. If you LIKED this video & you want to get more detail or information then please go to my YouTube page & watch the full video. Otherwise please send me a DM if you have an enquiry about the clip.

The side plank isn't just about core strength – it's your secret weapon for mastering rotational power and control on the green. Mimicking the twisting motion of the golf swing, the side plank trains your body to generate and control rotational forces through your core, enhancing your ability to execute every swing with precision. Strengthening your core and improving stability with side planks can be a game-changer for preventing lower back injuries. By reducing strain on the lower back during the swing, you lower the risk of overuse injuries and keep your game strong. Integrating side planks into your routine can elevate your golf performance to new heights! #golfperformance #corestrength #injuryprevention #fitnessjourney #sideplank #performanceabove
