#Electrification is growing when it comes to transportation, bringing us closer to our decarbonization goals. As EVs become more accessible and charging infrastructure improves, the aviation and maritime sectors are also considering how to decarbonize and make processes more sustainable. While the transportation industry has made significant progress in sustainability, it is time that we are focusing on changing entire systems and thought processes. In response to our open letter urging the Commission to take decisive action on the pivotal aspect of #corporatefleet, Magda KOPCZYŃSKA, Director-General at DG MOVE, has affirmed that "[the Commission is] now in the process of planning an open public consultation in the coming months." However, as Frank Jacobs aptly questions, "will it?" The mandate for the electrification of corporate fleets represents the easily attainable goal in the transition to clean transport.
