💡🔬 Trying to use the GSH : GSSG ratio to measure the oxidative status? ⚗💡 #Oxidative status of tissue and body fluid samples is of profound clinical interest and could be used as a #biomarker and clinical parameter. However, since the interconversion of glutathione to glutathione disulfide starts directly after sampling, #robust #methods are not implemented so far. At Technische Universität Wien, a #noveltechnology to stabilize glutathione and glutathione disulfide status was developed by Matthias Schittmayer , Ruth Birner-Grünberger and Tamara Tomin.
