Our Lower Columbia team recently donated a 20-ton load of Douglas-fir and maple logs to the Oregon Zoo. Sustainably harvested from Scappoose, Ore., these logs will provide opportunities for the zoo’s polar bears and orangutans to climb, play and engage socially within their habitats. When the logs are placed, two of the first animal residents to enjoy the new features will be the Oregon Zoo’s beloved polar bear, Nora, and Jolene, a 2-year old orangutan. "We’re excited to play a role in Nora and Jolene’s enrichment and provide them an opportunity to explore new materials from right here in Oregon,” says Steve Keniston, Lower Columbia area manager. https://lnkd.in/eQfCQpKY
