In a world marked by crises and polarization, women and girls bear the brunt. Accelerating #GenderEquality is crucial for humanity's future. And we are committed to this mission, as shown by progress made halfway through the implementation of our Gender Equality Strategy 2022-2025. In 2023, with our partners, we: • Supported voter registration for 135 million women in 29 countries • Provided essential services to 92 million women • Assisted 77 countries in implementing gender and climate commitments We will continue pushing boundaries, guided by our strategy, to foster transformative change and advocate for gender equality. In a world indeed "marked by crises and polarization, women and girls often bear the brunt." While there is still much to be done globally, I admire the strategic plan the UNDP has put in place, especially their focus on poverty & inequality, governance, resilience, environment, energy, and gender equality. It is definitely essential for humanity's progress. Despite the frequent comments on social media questioning the impact of the United Nations, it is important to acknowledge the significant steps they are taking that people don't directly see. This mission is bigger than any individual, and while the United Nations can only do so much, it is essential for us to implement and support these strategies at home too. Seeing these plans encourages us to learn and reflect on our own actions: What are we doing to support gender equality and make a difference?
