Happy #womensday2024 ! This years theme is; Accelerating the achievement of gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girls by addressing poverty and strengthening institutions and financing with a gender perspective. Help ALL women achieve their goals by exploring resources that address poverty and support women. A Women's Place in Doylestown is a favorite of my family as we have raised funds and donated items to help Women of abuse. I have a post it note that says "Find a way to make a difference for someone" as an intention to do good each and every day. Gender equality is a powerful catalyst for reducing poverty and driving sustainable development. By ensuring equal access to opportunities and decision-making for all, societies can create healthier and just economies. #makeadifference

International Women's Day is about investing in and including women. When we invest in women, we create a better world. A woman multiplies the impact of an investment made in her by extending benefits to the world around her, creating a better life for her family and building stronger communities. It is reassuring to see that more and more women are financially empowered, independent and included, but there is still work to be done to close the gaps that exist today. That's why I'm proud that with the help of the RBC Foundation, our branch supported [x charity] with a $2,500 donation. Help forge an inclusive world by investing in women and accelerating the progress. After all, gender equality is one of the most effective ways to build healthier, more prosperous, and more inclusive communities. #IWD2024 #InternationalWomensDay

"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed it's the only thing that ever has." Every great change in history started with just a few passionate individuals. In the UK, the Suffragette movement, led by women like Emmeline Pankhurst and her fellow activists, fought tirelessly for women's right to vote. Their courage and determination paved the way for gender equality and transformed British society forever. And changes to our society continue to be driven through today, often by charities who are at the arrowhead in terms of understanding the plight of particular groups...and what needs to be done to achieve the greatest impact. The thing is, the incredible frontline work that is carried out 24/7, 365 days a year, has to be underpinned by something. And that something is good governance. It's what makes charities thrive, and it's what helps them to make the biggest difference. In a few short weeks, I shall be launching my Governance Mastery program. If you would like to be the first to know about it, DM me the word WAITLIST, and I'll make sure you are.

In the US, organizations serving women and girls receive just 1.8% of all charitable giving. Yet research by the World Bank shows that every dollar invested in gender equality delivers a return of $7 to $12 for the economy. Today, as we honor the accomplishments of woman globally, let’s commit to accelerating change and investing in organizations and policies that benefit women, families, communities and society at large. Below is a resource for companies from Equality Now to help unlock the potential of women. #iwd2024 https://lnkd.in/geXSF8Vk
