There's been progress for women on Fortune 500 boards! In 2022, over 30% of board seats were held by women, up from 26.5% in 2020. While there's still a way to go for equal representation, it's encouraging to see the increase. Law firm associate classes often start with 50% women. Yet equity partnerships have a much smaller percentage of women. Only about 22% of equity partners were female in 2020 (per National Association of Women Lawyers). Even law firms with the most women in equity partnerships are just above 30%.
