On Dec 8 last year, my client started sourcing a role. They advertised 3 or 4 times, waded through hundreds of applicants – even interviewed a few candidates. But could not fill their role. 😥 Then last Wednesday, at 1pm - they agreed to let us help. By 4.30 we had submitted 3 people for their review. The next day at 12.30 they interviewed one of them, testing was completed, references were provided. Natasha Young you rock ! 💥Boom! Contract is signed. Start date set. Wild recruiting story of the day- We called a candidates reference and the reference said they have never heard of that person before. They have been called as a reference for this candidate multiple times but don’t have any record of that person ever working there. This is a big reason why calling references are important and having a good relationship with your references is crucial.
