Let me ask you, what's your plan for the women's month of March? How do you intend to celebrate yourself and the women in your organisation? ... Do I hear a silence? Ok, let me invite you to a transformational women event. Note the keyword "Transformational" because that's what it is. There's no woman that has been at this event that hasn't had a life-changing encounter. So let me tell you what this event is about. Every year, we pick 4 important pillars women struggle with in their lives and we bring industry experts to do justice to them, helping these women to gain clarity on these aspects of their lives and help them know the best ways to achieve their set goals in these areas. We don't stop there, we empower women to connect with their inner-selves and believe in their ability to dream big and make it come true by crowning a Beauty Queen, a woman who is between the age of 28-40, in any stage of life and we take them on a year journey to building their emotional intelligence, business and financial intelligence. They come out and become a force in less than a year. They also win cash prizes, brand ambassadorship, mentorship and so on. At this same event, women have the best fun with great music, food ,drinks, games and so on that leaves them with beautiful core memories that serve as reminders and motivation for them to achieve success in the year. So, it's not an event where women look fancy and speak vaguely, it's an event where every speaker understands every woman's struggles and help them with relatable solutions. Date: March 23rd Venue: Ikeja, Lagos Access Fee: 20,000 Naira Would you want to be a part of this amazing and memorable event? The buzz and hype are settling down, just a few more days until the end of March when the celebration of women in 2024 will be in archives! Little did I know, when I posted on the morning of March 8th about hoping men would be a part of Women's Day celebrations, Gulf News & BeingShe were already reading my mind! Let me spill the tea on the Future Women Leaders Forum 2024 powered by BeingSheofficial Partner Gulf News in Dubai – an event that exceeded Dubai's already high standards! Here are the highlights for those who missed this rollercoaster of wisdom and inspiration. Dr. Ismail Al Naqi, Director General of the Free Zones Authority of Ajman, dropped some truth bombs in his keynote. "Empowering women entrepreneurship isn't just for show – it's a must for economic growth. The UAE is living proof!" His words, mixed with humor, lit up the room, reassuring every entrepreneurial heart present that the UAE is indeed a place where dreams can come true. Ms. Ghada Sawalmah , CEO of Gargash Hospital, was an absolute joy to listen to. Her real talk about being a daughter who looks up to her mom for inspiration hit home for many. The much talked about glass ceiling and its interpretation by Dr.Nairouz Bader, CEO of Envision Partnership was so relatable. As she talked about breaking the glass ceiling and facing new challenges, it was like she dropped gems of wisdom. The best part of her presence - she rocked being feminine as a superpower in the modern world. I cannot miss mentioning, Matthias Sziraczki, the brain behind Zen Warriors Alliance. He spilled the beans on the need for work-life balance – something we women tend to ignore. Those who caught his vibe know he was dropping priceless knowledge! I'll be honest; I'm not the biggest fan of events, but sometimes you need to look beyond the WhatsApp invitation and appreciate the soul behind it. I'm not just thanking Aparna Bajpai for summing up my 'aha moments' from the event; I'm giving a standing ovation for the thoughtful curation. Dubai events are usually missed networking opportunities – people post pics without a clue about what went down. Breaking the mold, I'm sharing my takeaways and what made this event pop! Last but not least - I must add in my observation, - some collaborations are more than just business unions; they're like a match made in heaven for ideologies and souls. My vibe? Gulf News and BeingSheofficial Partner Gulf News – this professional collaboration is like a marriage with a meaning! Cheers to that! 🎉 #inclusionredefined

Very excited to be attending Creative Zone's #SheTalks event tomorrow, an initiative that started as a way to bring professional women in the UAE together, so we could share ideas and make new connections 🤩🫶 It's just one of the ways that companies in the UAE are showing their commitment to empowering women. Following the UAE's pledge to raise women's participation in senior and middle management roles to 30% by 2025, more and more companies are starting initiatives that promote the success of women in the region. From Mashreq's Reignite programme to Standard Chartered's Women in Tech accelerator initiative, there's never been a better time to be a professional woman in the UAE 💪📈 And it's not just business. The UAE is paving the way for women's sport too - in a few weeks, the capital will play host to the Mubadala Abu Dhabi Open, a WTA tournament featuring some of the best female tennis players (anyone else rooting for Ons Jabeur?) and in December, 50 women from across the world will battle it out at the Dubai Autodrome Circuit as part of the Formula Woman Nations Cup 🏎 🎾 The UAE is home to some incredible women - whether that's Amna Al Qubaisi, the first Emirati F3 racing driver, who is showing young girls that they can be strong, beautiful, and athletic, or Rola Abu Manneh, who is leading the charge for CEOs in the region. I feel very fortunate to call this place my home and to have met so many incredible women 👭✨ If you're interested in sponsoring women's sport in the region, or would like to get involved in a live summit on women's empowerment, please reach out at [email protected] 🚀 📩 #womeninsport #womeninbusiness #womenempowerment

Happy International Women's Day! Today, I'm sharing a piece of my journey and some simple truths I've learned from other inspirational women around me: 💪Be Flexible: Change is the only constant, embrace it and learn to pivot quickly and stand tall in the face of adversity 😊Build Strong Connections: Your network is extremely important, cherish every relationship with love and integrity and above all be kind . 📝Don’t use technology just because it’s the latest thing: From planning to promotion, technology and the latest gadgets aren’t always the answer – sometimes a paper and pen is the best solution! 🏆Stay Focused on Your Goals: Keep your vision clear and let it guide you, do not be afraid to do something different to everyone else or say no when it doesn’t align with your goals. 🧘You are the centre of your world: Your business needs you at your best, which means prioritising your well-being. In 2024, I will continue to keep growing, learning and supporting this fabulous community! #internationalwomensday #businessowner #eventindustry #eventmanagement #eventprofsuk

Hello there! This week’s newsletter is mostly dedicated to women and what they bring to the table given that we just celebrated International Women’s Day. 1. A new study by PwC Middle East reveals that women returning to the #workforce in the MENA could contribute US$385bn to GDP, emphasizing the need for inclusive policies and support. Key revelations from the report indicate that 44 percent of women in MENA have taken #careerbreaks, predominantly motivated by family and caregiving responsibilities. Remarkably, 68 percent of these women possess experience beyond entry-level positions, and 82 percent believe they can ascend to top organisational levels upon returning to work. So given the inequality in the work space, how diverse is yours? - https://shorturl.at/ikR13 [Hani Ashkar | Norma Taki ] 2. A new era of #womenentrepreneurs and leaders are rising, challenging the norms and transforming the business landscape. In a special feature, we spoke to four women across the entrepreneurial ecosystem to talk funding for women-led businesses. They presented a compelling story of resilience, innovation, and the quest for equality by women searching for funding in the MENA region -https://shorturl.at/lrvCV 3. This past week has also seen a focus on #leadership and #business. The DUBAI FUTURE FOUNDATION unveiled its highly anticipated third edition of the "Future Opportunities Report: The Global 50" at the World Governments Summit. The report identifies key opportunities across Health, Nature, Societies, Systems, and Innovations, emphasizing advancements in AI, health, and sustainable solutions for global challenges - https://shorturl.at/doCK9 [Mohammad Al Gergawi] 4. MBZUAI (Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence) has unveiled the Executive Program as it welcomes its fifth cohort comprising 44 senior leaders hailing from diverse sectors across the UAE. The participants, with representation from the federal government (17 percent), local authorities (37 percent), non-government organisations/startups (9 percent), and industry (37 percent), are set to embark on a 16-week program that includes real-world projects and international exposure - https://shorturl.at/apAX5 [Eric Xing] 5. Our final story pick this week is the finding from the recently released 13th edition of the Middle East Investment Panorama report by Insight Discovery. The MEIP report includes spotlights on wealth management and family offices in the GCC region, along with expert commentaries on investment in alternative assets and recent changes to the UAE’s regulations for End of Service Benefit payments - https://shorturl.at/kxVX7 [Nigel Sillitoe] Until next week, check out our updates on our LinkedIn page and share your SME-related stories. #sme10x #smestories #smegrowth #menaregion #weeklynewsletter
