The more I moved through THINKING AT THE SPPED OF BIAS, the more I started to glean the wisdom of Sara Taylor. In a time where DEI initiatives are under attack, this book can provide a useful framework and practical tools to combat bias (implicit and explicit). Using stories, reflective questions, a discussion guide, and other insights, Taylor helps understand what is happening in these biases and how to address them. A good book that comes in a timely manner.

As this year comes to an end, ask yourself: What’s so embedded in my workflow that I don’t even think about it anymore? Work often focuses solely on visible outcomes, but so much of our daily work is based on our implicit knowledge of how to do something. It's hard to even recognize all of the things you do without thinking. It takes time to learn these things, but once you do, they stick with you. You’re doing so much more than you realize. Take the time to give yourself credit. And be patient with folks who are newer to the work and don’t yet have this implicit knowledge.
