As a woman- and queer-owned business, we believe in an equitable workplace all year long, not just in time for #PrideMonth.  Here are 3 ways we celebrate Pride year-round (and how your organization can, too): 💜 Implement policies that support LGBTQ+ equality in the workplace.  This includes inclusive health insurance, gender-affirming care, parental leave, and pay equity, which should be discussion topics alongside rainbows and parades. 💜 Donate to BIPOC and queer-led advocacy organizations.  A few of our favorites are Pride Foundation and ACLU of Idaho. 💜 Commit to continuing education around inclusion in the workplace.  Continue to hire BIPOC and members of the LGBTQ+ community as employees, contractors, and vendors.  #QueerVoicesMatter #LGBTQOwned #QueerOwned #WomenHelpingWomenEntrepreneurs

With Adam Saraswati Rawlings Head EDI Consultant, Pinnacle   LGBT+ History Month is an annual celebration of the lives of LGBT+ people of the past. It is celebrated every February in the UK, with each year’s celebration having its own unique theme. And this year’s theme is Medicine #UnderTheScope.   But how did we get to this point? 🏡 Addressing the LGBTQ+ Homeownership Gap: We Need Better Data! The LGBTQ+ community, with $1.4 trillion in spending power, faces a homeownership rate 20 percentage points lower than others. 🌈 Why? The lack of data on their housing experiences limits our ability to create fair policies. Without accurate data, we can't fully understand or address the barriers LGBTQ+ people face in the housing market. This knowledge gap impedes the development of policies that could ensure equitable access to homeownership. 🔍 What can we do? - Advocate for inclusive data collection. - Support research on LGBTQ+ housing. - Push for equitable policy changes.
