Interesting and insightful views from 2 of the most experienced Retail advisors in the industry Joe Bona and Gerry Lewis. Questions like what may have derailed Foxtrot and Dom’s are clearly discussed but I’m sure others will have views too. The Retail sector always hates to lose entrepreneurs who take the risk of opening a business, but retail is not for the faint of heart as the road to success is littered with great ideas and good companies. I’m alwasy reminded of the saying Location is everything and that Innovation must deliver results which can only be achieved if you have great operational efficiency. Final piece of advice from someone who has worked with many difference retail businesses over the years. Surround yourself with the best talent and get advice from seasoned veterans who may be able to add the 10% that makes the difference between success and failure.
Gerald Lewis and Joseph Bona share their thoughts on what happened at Foxtrot. #convenience #retail

Consumer Goods, Retail, & Business Development Strategy Expert and Consultant, focusing on small to mid-size companies.
I'm trying to figure out the competitive positioning of Pop Mart. Product - Collectibles are very much on trend but there are many others catering to this market (saturation). Stores - at least for now - are focused on malls (struggling). Pricing - $16 to $2,000 - missing the multi-purchase $5-10 retail? I've never been to a Pop Mart in person, so I'd love to hear feedback from those who have firsthand knowledge. What am I missing? #toystrategist #consumerproducts #toys

Pop-up retail, also known as pop-up store (pop-up shop in the UK, Australia and Ireland) or flash retailing, is a trend of opening short-term sales spaces that last for days to weeks before closing down, often to catch onto a fad or scheduled event. Marmite pop-up shop in London The Beatles double-decker pop-up shop in New York City HBO Game of Thrones container pop-up in Los Angeles The modern trend of pop-up retail started in Los Angeles in the late 1990s, and went on to become used internationally, being particularly popular in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom and Australia. Pop-up retail was an increasing factor during the retail apocalypse of the 2010s, including seasonal Halloween retailers who operate stores in vacant spaces during the season. In 2018 the pop-up industry was estimated to be worth $50 billion.[1] there you have it #VisualMerchandising #Future #Pop-upShops #High-endRetail #DigitalMarketing #Management #Markets.
