CEO/Co-Founder at eVouch - powering organic revenue growth for email marketers and brands through UGC and word-of-mouth marketing
I always find myself wearing multiple hats at work – usually one in sales, the other in product. It's like switching gears constantly, but talking to the same people. In sales, my day starts with figuring out what the customer wants now. The questions are direct: What's your biggest challenge? How can our product solve that? It's all about immediate needs and getting to the point quickly. Then, I switch to my product hat. Here, the conversation changes. It's less about selling and more about digging deeper. What's your experience with our product? What's missing? This is about listening, really understanding the nuances of their feedback. Balancing these roles is a juggling act. Both are about understanding the customer, but from different angles. One is about addressing their current needs, the other about anticipating their future ones. So, every day is a mix of selling what we have and shaping what we'll create. It's challenging, but it gives me a complete view of our customers – from their immediate reactions to their long-term wishes. I'm curious to hear from others who navigate multiple roles in their jobs. How do you balance different perspectives, especially when dealing with the same clients or projects?
