What can you change in...
🤝 20 years of business
🏡 20 years of faithful service to the greater good
🛠 20 years of community building
How many lives can change in those 20 years?
To truly answer that question, we'd have to ask every single customer, every trade partner, every child raised in an Ivey home. For today, our very first homeowners make a good place to begin.
The DeAngelos just knew. When they first stepped foot into what would become their Ivey home, they could see the future of their family unfolding. Today, we look at how that future vision became a string of memories. We are moved with gratitude hearing Wendy's tearful recounting of how her children grew up in this house.
Wendy and Alan's story is just the beginning.
Over two decades, we've built not just houses, but homes filled with laughter, love, and milestones. Each nail, each brick, each coat of paint was a promise—a promise to create a space where love happens and dreams come to life.
What starts as team bonds formed while walls go up turns into family bonds once that first turn of the doorknob makes an Ivey house into a family's home. We're moved seeing children like the DeAngelo's take their first steps on our floors only to stride across stages to receive diplomas.
These are the legacies we cherish. They remind us that what we do goes beyond construction. It's about crafting the backdrop for life's precious moments.
As we look ahead, we're excited to continue this journey, building more than homes—building futures, one family at a time.
Here's to the next 20 years and the countless lives we'll change together.

12 Neighbours - Millionaire builds 99 affordable tiny homes to help his community
I hope what Mr. Lebrun will ignite more millionaires, executives, philanthropists .. to help their communities. Open up your Loving Heart ❤️
After selling his software business for millions, Marcel Lebrun asked himself, “what should I spend my money on?” He decided to pour his time & money into an affordable housing project in Fredericton –12 Neighbours.
Take a moment & view the site: 12 Neighbours. Make some time to read Maclean amazing article by Sarah Treleaven -The Housing Hero of Fredericton.
Watch this video to witness Marcel's passion for making a difference & offers a glimpse into the incredible impact of the 12 Neighbours Community by sharing firsthand the stories of individuals whose lives have been positively transformed by Marcel's dedication & the collaborative efforts of the community.
As I was viewing the videos, I was amazed how he showed his vulnerable & authentic self as he shared his personal story in his journey, showing his drive & ability to overcome any obstacles with integrity & kindness. He is a perfect example of a leader who leads in his authentic way & being true to himself. A real promising role model who had no reason other than his pure heart.
The 12 Neighbours Community was his attempt to synthesize all that he learned in each place & apply it to his community. When describing the pillars the community sits on, Lebrun uses three words: Dignity, Community, & Opportunity.
Mr. Lebrun is the kind of authentic role model we need to see in far greater numbers. He is a source of inspiration to all of us.
Lebrun feels that a community like Fredericton shouldn’t have chronically homeless individuals. He feels there is a need for a shift in mindset. Many view homelessness as the result of a drug or mental health issue, but in reality, it is a housing & homelessness problem.
That final house, civic No. 93, represents the fulfilment of a dream for Lebrun but there's still lots of work to be done.
That includes completing the community centre and café, as well as landscaping every one of the 96 properties.
But for now, he says it's a good feeling being able to see that final home in place.
Mr. Marc Lebrun is a perfect example of a man that demonstrated that it can be accomplished successfully.
Our politicians, Mayor Olivia Chow, Premier Doug Ford, PM Trudeau, Minister of Housing, Paul Calandra & the list goes on can learn so much from Mr. Lebrun. It appears that Mr. Lebrun accomplished the success of 12 Neighbours - 96 tiny homes, start to finish, in two years instead of 4 years.
Perhaps our politicians can explore the many possibilities & upcoming projects & see if we can mirror & replicate what Lebrun successfully accomplished in Fredericton?
We can show it doesn’t need to be inevitable but inspire everyone that homelessness can be ended.
Thank you Mr. Lebrun 🙏

Hi Morgan
No we are not Proud of Mayor Lucas.
Repealing NEW ORDINANCE TO CODE BOOKS
ORDINANCE NO. 230401
Amending Chapter 3, Code of Ordinances, by repealing Section 3-431, “Setting Goals for
Individual Contracts” and enacting in lieu thereof a new section of like number and subject matter
regulating the application of numeric MBE/WBE goals on certain projects leased for development
or receiving economic development incentives or tax abatement.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY:
2. Ignoring the letter from The Kcmo Fairness Board Chairman & Fairness Committee regarding Civil Rights violations ? Harrasment of minority contractors ? inadequate reporting from Kcmo CREO department ? No Disparity report for 9 years and more ?
2016 Disparity Report below:
Department of I think 1.2 minority [participation] and 2.5 WBE [participation], when there
was adequate availability of minority and women contractors to meet the City’s standard
kind of goal of 15 [percent] and 7 [percent]. They’re diluting the opportunity for minority
and women contractors when it comes through the statutory business development
organizations, all of whom have different sets of rules..… There ought to be a uniform
code that is incorporated in all the development agreements which people in our
community never see.… There’s a disconnect. And I realize they’re trying to change some
of that now but the insulting part of it was there was more money spent through statutory
agencies last year for contracting activities than there were through City departments.…
It’s obviously developer driven. By the time we see it the development agreement has
already been executed.
Caused lack of capital for Jackson County schools and libraries.
Mayor Lucas and Insult to African Americans everywhere?
Chief of Staff, Office of Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas
Grateful to Quinton Lucas for the opportunity to serve my community and for the strong trust we’ve placed in each other since day one.
We’ve accomplished a lot the past five years, and I hope we’ve made Kansas City proud. Under the mayor’s leadership, I know our City government will remain bold, caring and creative. How special it’s been to be part of it all.
Reid Day, you’re up next! We’re all rooting for you.
Building forever homes, one "now" at a time 💖
Every decision counts in real estate. From choosing the right location to adding personal touches, each "now" shapes the timeless haven we call home.
Emily Dickinson's insight reminds us that every present moment contributes to our future, especially when it comes to creating spaces filled with warmth and memories 🏡
What are some of your favorite "nows?" For me, it's spending time with my kids and volunteering with organizations that make a real difference.

Something a lot of small business owners look past is their community.
I mean, I honestly don’t know if Roe Painting would exist if it weren’t for the community.
It's been 2 decades since we started (that's crazy to even think about) and a lot has changed.
But something that hasn't changed is the community that surrounds us. We've been fortunate enough to build connections, help one another out, and give back when we can.
Here’s my two-sense on integrating and building a community.
🌱Authenticity: It's not just about transactions, but genuine connections. Authenticity means transparency, communication, and commitment to delivering value beyond the walls.
👂Listening: The key to any relationship? Listening. Understanding our community's needs, dreams, and concerns keeps us connected.
🌍Sharing values & vision: We don't just provide a service, we contribute to the beauty and functionality of spaces where our community lives and works. It creates a sense of belonging and purpose.
🌟Giving Back: It's not just a box to tick. By supporting local initiatives and participating in community events we aren't just contributing, but actively participating in the growth of our community.
🔄Adaptability: Embrace the growth, evolve with the community – that's the name of the game.
🔗Connections: Everyone knows that business is all about the connections, right?
🤝And finally, gratitude: Every project, success, and handshake is a collaborative effort. Being grateful for the opportunity.
Anything I forgot?
