Our California team had an amazing time attending and sponsoring this year’s Matsuri Fundraiser, filled with vibrant traditional Japanese performances and activities . We’re proud to support the Garden Valley Cultural Institute in their mission to provide essential classes and services for seniors and youth. Richard Ames, El Segundo Branch Manager was thrilled to celebrate community and contribute to such a meaningful cause.
Looking to strengthen your ties within the community and boost your presence? Here's a strategy that we find wins every time: Get involved! 🤝
🏥 Volunteer at Community Centers: Offer your expertise and support where it's needed most.
🎾 Join Local Events: Whether it's bowls clubs, tennis matches, or school sports days, be there! Consider setting up hydration stands or medical bays to show your commitment to health and wellness.
🎁 Contribute to Raffles: Show your generosity by donating items or hampers from your pharmacy to community raffles. It's a win-win!
These simple acts of engagement not only build connections but also create loyal customers who value your commitment to the community.
Putting on a fundraiser can be daunting, frustrating, and overwhelming. Or… It can be awesome. After speaking and singing at 500+ Young Life fundraisers Jonah's seen it all.

Leadership Development: Learn from the best, including your insights.

👩💻 In our continuous pursuit of knowledge to keep us updated and relevant to the social sector, we had the opportunity to discuss the art of fundraising in our learning circle.
💭 We started by listening to Kara Logan Berlin, Founder and CEO of Harvest talk about changing our relationships with money and succeeding in fundraising for NGOs. The talk helped us ruminate about facilitating fundraising for NGOs successfully while keeping corporate needs intact.
👉 You can find the link to Kara's talk here: https://lnkd.in/d523BXY
💡 One of our key takeaways from the discussion was that "Fundraising is relational, not transactional". While the transaction of money is the ultimate goal of fundraising, the relationship between the fundraisers, donors and other stakeholders is pivotal in leading towards that goal.
💡 The relationship between a donor and a grantee begins with successful fundraising, influencing and impacting the decisions made by both parties, thereby creating a larger impact on the ground. Hence, relationship building between the donor and fundraiser is paramount, not just for fundraising but for creating meaningful impact at the grassroots.
🖊 What are your learnings about fundraising?
🖊 How does the donor-grantee relationship influence the programmatic impact at the grassroots?

As we move into fall event season remember the most successful fundraising efforts aren’t just about asking for donations—they’re about building connections. At Ember 2 Action, we’ve seen firsthand how sharing personal stories and creating authentic experiences can inspire people to give generously.
When planning your next event, remember that people want to feel connected to the cause. Take the time to craft messages that resonate, engage your supporters with stories that move them, and watch as your community rallies behind your mission.
After all, it’s the connections we build that turn ideas into action.

Endurance Adventure.

Governing our country should be an endurance adventure, not a culture war.
When we take on challenges because they are hard, push through resistance when everything goes to @#$!, and regroup for rest, we build endurance.
The Liberatus creative cycle, connecting policy debates to everyday conversations with renewed values, is built to be an endurance adventure, so you and many Americans can participate to make our country more just and free.
To create Volume Two, leader training, and community connections, we’ve set a goal of raising $2,000 in monthly donations. That’s part of the bigger goal of raising $1m over five years to become a biannual publication and national grassroots organization.
