🎉 Exciting News: Moving onwards and upwards! 🚀 After three incredible years, yesterday marked the end of my time at Teach First. It's been an amazing journey, and I'm deeply grateful for the experiences and relationships I've gained during this time, as we worked together to help every child fulfill their potential. Reflecting on this chapter, I'm proud of the contributions I've made: 🌟 Redeveloped our communications with ambassadors and the wider Teach First community (alongside the fantastic Rachael and Venezia) and constantly striving towards improving and streamlining these processes to deliver the best for our ambassadors. 🌟 Played a key role in last summer’s Great Ambassador Gathering, leading on the event promotion and engagement, as well as working with some fantastic speakers and volunteers on the day itself. 🌟 Nurtured valuable connections with colleagues across the charity, ambassadors and our partner organisations, including sharing many of the inspirational stories and impact they’re making to children and our communities across the UK and beyond. As I embark on the next stage in my career, I'm eager to explore opportunities where I can leverage my expertise in digital, marketing and communications to drive meaningful and long-lasting change for organisations and communities alike. If you have any leads or would like to connect to discuss potential collaborations, I'd love to hear from you! A riddle for the end of the year. Only very few can solve it. Can you? Finding the answer to this riddle = finding our true nature. It is freedom from the stress, limitations, and suffering of believing we're separate selves. This is the "promise" of a nondual understanding. It's what I talk about here every day. I am committed to amplifying my community work and making it more impactful. To achieve this, I had the privilege of learning from none other than Aidah Munzatsi, one of the foremost experts in digital tools and social media training. Her guidance has been invaluable, and I am immensely grateful for the time and skills she has shared with me. This experience has equipped me with the knowledge and strategies needed to elevate my initiatives and engage more effectively with our community. Our co-founder Kedar Karkare, PhD represented Karma Wallet this week at the Techonomy Climate West conference in Mountain View, CA. "It's going to take collaboration between academics, government, non-profits, and technology companies in order to combat our social and climate crises. 🆘 Conference is NOT a conference or “educational” mill and the business elemets take a back seat to actually trying to help folks. The number of individuals that came up to me and told me their stories was truly inspiring. This is who we are doing it for and the mission is pretty simple for the team actually. Yes, we all know we can make more money, no we don’t need help from industry insiders that have done nothing to advance the industry the past few decades. You can keep making fun of memes and reinforcing the elite class, we will continue to keep the SOS Save Our Sites movement pure as that is not only what the market wants, but also needs. We gathered and experienced a beautiful welcome to the unceded and ancestral territory of the hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ and Sḵwx̱wú7mesh speaking Peoples, the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) and Səl̓ílwətaʔ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. We collaborated, we heard inspiring stories, we stopped for photos at the B Hive booth, we restored with a soundbath, we met awesome people at the B Corp Marketplace, and we watched creators bring art to life in the Indigenous Makers Market. That's a wrap on the final Introduction to Permacultre for Artists and Creative Course of 2023. This is a snap of the ideas that we shared around the intrinsic characteristics of collaboration. They probably do a good job of capturing the intrinsic characteristcs of these little courses as well! A thousand thank yous to everybody who has taken the plunge to become a part of our ragged little hedge school in this past year. The energy, honesty and generosity with which wisdom and experience has been shared has, as ever, been an absolute wonder. To everybody who has who has pulled up a chair to our table and leaned into the possibility of not knowing together - I truly love you!

This past week I got to attend my first AfroTech conference in Austin, TX! It was truly a privilege to be able to connect with such talented professionals and students from all over the world. I’ve left AfroTech with double the network I came with and cannot be anymore satisfied. Huge thank you to all those that made this trip possible and put in the hours these past 4 months to take 26 of our NSBE at Boston University members! This would not happen without the support and mentorship of MassMutual and BU Spark! And of course, to the students who made everything run smoothly from hotel, to flight, to registration and budgeting- Louie Belile of BU Spark! and my admin zone: co-VP Raniya Delil and president Bernadelle Boateng.
