Our financial results for the second quarter of 2024 are in, and they demonstrate we are driving profitable growth and creating value for all stakeholders.     Our core EBIT (excluding JVs and associates) came in at SEK 8.2 billion, the highest ever in a single quarter and a 28 per cent increase vs Q2 2023. Our core EBIT margin was a record 8.1 per cent.    “We delivered a strong Q2 performance with record underlying profitability, demonstrating our ability to create value despite a complex geopolitical and economic environment,” says Jim Rowan, our chief executive. “Our core operational momentum remains on a firm footing, thanks to the strength of our balanced strategy, product portfolio and our agility in responding decisively to headwinds.”      “Our brand and values around safety and sustainability, as well as our unique technology approach, continue to resonate strongly with customers,” adds Jim Rowan. “During the year we increased our market share in Europe to the highest level ever and grew our share in the US as well, while managing our market position in China. I am pleased that we did so with pricing discipline.” Read more: https://lnkd.in/dGqpiUc2

Hello Volvo Cars, Jim Rowan and Michael Cottone, does your brand actually value safety? I have replaced 7 parts under warranty already for my 2023 XC40 Recharge and made over 10 visits to 3 different dealerships the past year and a half. The customer service team in Canada keeps on replying back with my vehicle is not eligible for repurchase. The main concern now is that I still feel vibration through my steering when I am on the highway at speeds over 100km/h. I have had one of my tires replaced already and the dealership that I am working with said that they have to inform Volvo Car Canada to see what their response is with the axle. The other concern that I have is how the front windshield cracks very easily. I have gone through 2 windshields already and my 3rd one has cracked as well. I cannot afford to keep on replacing it every few months under my insurance as my premiums will go up. The other option is to pay over $1500 out of pocket. How is this not a safety concern? How many parts do I have replace to have this vehicle problem free?

"values around safety" 🤣🤣🤣 Nearly spat my tea out! Safety includes the ability for your customer care teams to admit your dealer got it wrong, and replace safety critical components.

Well done Jim, no doubt making poor quality cars, charging a fortune for them and then failing to fix them when they go wrong contributes handsomely to your numbers. Safety and sustainability are are great values but I’d venture to say integtity and respect for your customers and standing by your products when they fall apart would be a welcome addition. Sadly in dealing with your company it’s evident pricing discipline and shareholders come before quality and customers.

Congrats Volvo! I have driven Porsche, Mercedes, Range Rover and some other amazing brands. Our new EX30 is such an innovative and great car! Huge compliments. My wife and I actually argue who’s turn it is - even to go charging 🤩😂🤩

HiVolvo, Exciting opportunity for a strategic partnership! I'm interested in leasing 4,500 EV cars on a synicated lease deal for my 100% EV ride-hailing business and 1000 ultrafast solar chargers, with a proposed quarterly payment plan of $12 million or annual payment of $50 million. With a big Bank guarantee backs this deal. Our moonshot revenue projections indicate a potential $1 billion revenue stream over the next 6 years, and we believe our partnership could be a key driver of this growth. Our mounted LED screens will provide a unique advertising platform, enhancing our brand awareness and offering valuable exposure for EV manufacturers seeking to expand their presence in the African market and beyond, reaching millions of people ……Our pitch deck and detailed business plan is ready upon your request. Best regards, (Douglas Baryeh,Founder/Ceo)

I think the company is going through a massive change towards EV but seeing the 26% of EV sales is not looking as good as it should. Hope Volvo will continue to also invest in ICE models to keep up with the other big names in the field of Automotive..

I got a real good Volvo dealer (Vos Veghel) and after 7 months I may pick-up my new Volvo tomorrow. My issue is the BAD aftersales support of the dutch Care by Volvo (CBV) team. More info, feel free to contact me.
