This month, Voith celebrates the 60th anniversary of its Brazilian headquarters. This milestone invites us to look back with pride at the numerous achievements and many challenges we have overcome to reach this point. This journey has been characterized by transformation and innovation, and the globally developed technology by Voith Paper , Voith Hydro, and Voith Turbo divisions has become an integral part of Brazilians’ daily lives. Throughout these six decades, the Brazilian headquarters have consolidated their regional operations and brought Voith’s global expertise, spanning over 150 years, to various industries. Today, Voith sets standards in the markets of #energy, paper, raw materials and #transport & automotive. Thus, the history of Voith Brazil is interconnected with the development of the country's entire industry and infrastructure. Today, we can say that Voith Brazil is part of a trajectory of growth, consolidation, and advancements that have transformed our markets. Thanks for sharing, Gustavo Kneubil, and best of luck in your new role! Such a great example of how a team or company can make a new member feel valued from day one - kudos to Voith Turbo! How many times have you started a new role, either with a new employer, or perhaps a new team within your existing employer, and your welcome consisted of: "Here's your desk. Here are directions to the supply cabinet. Bathroom is down the hall. If you need anything here's the Office Manager's number. Now get to to work." (At least in prison you get a shower and a new set of clothes! 🤣) Kidding aside, I think companies undervalue the importance of sharing and distributing branded merchandise (as Gustavo displays so well) with employees. Most employees are proud of the companies they work for and the jobs they do. And I believe most employees want to share that pride by displaying and using the company brand. Yet far too many companies see company-branded items simply as an expense, and something to be shared with customers, not employees. (Or items only shared ar the senior executive level.) There's a widespread issue with employee disengagement and lack of initiative. Yet these short-sighted companies don't recognize the positive impact on retention and morale that a small investment in distributing water bottles, backpacks, shirts, ball caps, coffee mugs, etc., can have. I realize the value of branded items varies from country to country. Yet who doesn't look forward to an event where you receive gifts, like Christmas or a birthday? Blessed are the companies who see beyond "Welcome to the grind!" to a more welcoming action, "Here's a gift package. We're glad you're on our team!" By the way, I want to give a shout-out to Robyn Senoff at HALO Branded Solutions - she's the best at finding the best branded merchandise for your need!

A strong reputation is vital for industrial companies, with a focus on sustainability, social responsibility, and attracting skilled talent. For the third time, the IMWF Institut für Management- und Wirtschaftsforschung in collaboration with INDUSTRIEMAGAZIN has released the Industry Reputation Report, identifying Austria's top-reputed industrial companies based on nearly 200,000 public statements. AT&S secured the top position with record revenues, substantial investments in its locations, and ongoing global expansion. Palfinger takes second place, driven by strong sales, substantial investments in employee training, and collaborations in the E-Mobility sector. In third place is voestalpine, making headlines with an ambitious decarbonization program and other sustainability initiatives. Notably, Doppelmayr jumped 37 places compared to the previous year, propelled by innovations in cable car technology. ABB’s factories in Germany are helping to provide a blueprint for the energy transition. Germany's industrial sector is rapidly adapting to meet emissions targets and sustainability goals. ABB's Lüdenscheid factory, for example, is a pioneering Mission to Zero facility and model of energy-efficient operations. Our Ratingen facility also won Kearney’s Factory of the Year award for excellence in operations. Both sites showcase our efforts to optimize industrial processes with a focus on development and automation. With ABB's Formula E races taking place in Berlin last weekend, we’ve been reflecting on Germany's role in a much longer race – the race for the energy transition.
