People of Publicis Groupe UK - join us two weeks from today for a brilliant event to mark International Women's Day. In partnership with fellow EAGs Divergent Minds and Enable, we will be coming together to shine a light on the disproportionate challenges women face at work when living with or caring for someone with a condition and what we can do to help them thrive. There will be a fabulous keynote speaker, followed by a rich discussion and attendees can join in person or virtually. Christina Lemieux, Kellie Murray, Laura Mason, Claire Meadows, Fifi Ahmed, Milly Stannard, Rosie Shepherd, Fiona Kimberley-Brown, Hanna Bouazzaoui, Julia Franks, Katherine Gardner and the rest of the ViaWomen! UK, Divergent Minds and Enable boards can't wait to see you there.

"Approach new challenges as opportunities, rather than as things that could go wrong." Wise words from our Head of Health Mita Dhullipala, featured here in the excellent company of other inspiring women of the PR Industry. Read their advice below 👇 #iwd2024
This year, in 2024, the theme for International Women's Day is 'Inspire Inclusion', which emphasises the importance of inspiring women to be included, fostering a sense of belonging, relevance, and empowerment. Fittingly, our Head of Health Mita Dhullipala has been featured in PRWeek UK this morning, giving her advice to the next generation of females in healthcare communications. Her advice is "Challenge yourself always – hone your writing and critical thinking skills. Try everything, seek out experiences everywhere you can – you won’t know what you love till you have tried it. The industry is constantly evolving, so embrace lifelong learning wholeheartedly. Network actively and often – nothing will do more for your career. Your voice matters so much even if others don’t always think it does, so use it to tell powerful stories and make a positive impact. Most importantly, take up space and never, ever give up." As a health team, we are acutely aware of the challenges surrounding women's health. From underdiagnosis of heart disease to limited access to reproductive care, the challenges persist. We'd like to take a minute to acknowledge this on IWD 2024 and pledge our commitment towards positive change and progress. Happy International Women's Day 2024 ✨ Lumanity Michael Parisi Sam Barnes Juliet Simpson Mita Dhullipala Nicola Goodman Jordan Hodges Jake Harrison Sarah Carter #iwd2024 #inspireinclusion #healthcare #communications #publicrelations

Day 32 of 32 celebrating inspiring women!! In today's final interview for International Women's Day, I'm joined by my dear friend and former colleague, Marilyn McDonald —a dynamic product leader and force to be reckoned with. We explore our journey of eschewing competition for collaboration, emphasizing the power of lifting other women as we rise. Our discussion covers the importance of inclusivity, joy in teamwork, and the role of trust in navigating financial discussions and complex negotiations. We share insights on advocating for one another, even in competitive job scenarios, and the creation of OVAL (Only Very Awesome Ladies) as a response to our dissatisfaction with traditional networking groups. Highlighting the impact of allies and sponsors, (with a special shout-out to Matt Swann for being a kickass ally), we underline their importance in ensuring women's voices are heard. Marilyn's advice resonates deeply, emphasizing authenticity and the understanding that being in the wrong space does not mean being the wrong person. Also...this little chat is the early hint at a new podcast we have in the works! :)

Comfort Zones - we all have one. They feel safe because, for us, they are either predictable or we feel more in control. But their predictability is usually the piece that ends up holding us back because growth, evolution, and strength are what happens when you push yourself, when you take the leap, and when in spite of your fears, you still say "yes." If you've been on the fence about attending one of our events near you or joining because you're not sure what it will be like, all we can say is that the best way to learn about Women to Women Network is to experience it. Get outside of your comfort zone - you may be pleasantly surprised by what waits for you on the other side. https://lnkd.in/gcEMp3p5
