Silverstone have been making headlines this week for not yet selling out the British Grand Prix. The organisers have pointed fingers towards Max Verstappen and Redbull's dominance for the lack of interest in the event (nothing to do with the outrageous ticket prices 🤔). With this in mind, I had a look back at the previous 5 seasons to see how they compare after 9 events. While Verstappen is having another great season, it's not as good as last year after a DNF in Australia and a less than perfect set of recent results. On the other side of the garage, his teammate Sergio Perez is having his poorest start in 3 seasons sitting in 5th with 107 points. Other notable comparisons are Leclerc and Norris, who at this stage last year were not even in the top 5. A win for both of them at Monaco and Miami has closed the gap on Verstappen. Finally, Lewis Hamilton is having is worst start in 5 years. Maybe the move to Ferrari for 2025 is the best thing for him. Whilst there's a long way to go, the results from the last few weekends show that Max and Redbull are not dominating as much as previous years and there's still a lot to play for. 🇧🇭 F1 is back! 🇧🇭 The long wait is over! Welcome to the first race weekend of 2024. 🙌 Nothing beats the excitement of watching the first race and seeing which driver and team would set the pace early this season. The best part? 2024 is the biggest season yet. Here’s what the new season has in store for us: 🌍 A record-breaking 24 races on the calendar, with 20 different countries. 🏁 6 sprint race weekends. Bahrain is the first stop of the 2024 season. Bahrain International Circuit in Sakhir had the bragging rights to be F1’s season opener for the fourth year running. The circuit is known for its high-speed corners but also demands a sufficient amount of downforce due to its mixture of straights, bends, and tight corners. The likes of Alonso, Hamilton, Leclerc, and Verstappen have stood on top of the podium on this track, with the former two having a couple of wins here on their belts. Here are some interesting facts about the Bahrain Grand Prix: ✅ Lewis Hamilton has the most wins here with five, while Ferrari has the most wins as a constructor with seven. ✅ Despite dominating the 2023 season, Max Verstappen has only managed to win in Bahrain once. ✅ 2024 would be the tenth anniversary of the Grand Prix held under the lights. What’s your prediction for the Bahrain GP? Let us know in the comments below! 👇 ** 🏎 Love seeing Formula One content on LinkedIn? Follow us on LinkedIn for the latest updates

If anyone asked me which Formula 1 racing event is my favorite, I would vote of the Monaco GP. Monaco GP is quite special for fans. Compared to other races, it carries Industrial, market, cultural and historical significance. The Monte Carlo track has seen some of the biggest wins in history. Graham Hill won five times here which was topped by Aryton Senna, who won six GPs in Monaco! Our favorite Scuderia Ferrari driver, Charles Leclerc recently won his home race. The other driver who won in Monaco apart from Charles is Louis Chiron in 1931. This race is one of a kind also because drivers find it difficult to overtake each other. It's almost impossible. So the pole sitter from the qualifying has a good chance of winning the race! Monaco GP is also one of the most star studded race after Miami, Las Vegas and Austin! Both F1 and the local economy share profits, especially from Monaco's tourism industry. But F1 is planning on removing the race from the calendar. Some drivers are welcoming this decision too! If you want to know why Monaco GP shouldn't be scrapped from the F1 calendar, read this article! I have attached the link to the article in the comments section. Hopefully my word reaches the F1 CEO! #F1 #Formula1 #FormulaOne #Ferrari #MonacoGP #MiamiGP #LasVegasGP #AustinGP

Did Mclaren sacrifice Lando Norris’s first world championship for Oscar Piastri’s first win ? After the eventful race in Hungary , everyone is asking the same question : What did Mclaren do ? Was it worth sacrificing Lando’s win for Oscar’s ? Lando starts the race from pole which he lost to Oscar and then Mclaren ruining Oscar’s pitstop strategy and doing undercut with Lando to cover Hamilton , but this doesn’t go as planned and Norris takes away the race leadership. Now Mclaren asking him to switch positions with Oscar but as the only person who is competing for world championship Lando says on the radio that this position and win maybe the most important one in a whole season. But his race engineer Will is asking him again and again to slow down and give the position back and he’s proved that he is faster than Oscar , then Will says on the radio : “Lando remember the only way to win the championship is with team’s and Oscar’s help not alone”. On the last lap Lando switches the position with Oscar , some people say it will be decision maker for the world championships , because as summer break is approaching Mclaren will bring updates and so will RedBull.I guess only way to find out if Mclaren did the right thing or not is to wait until season ends . But in a logical way they should have let Norris win the race as he is second in a drivers standings. #f1 #formula1 #mclarenracing #mclaren

McLaren to give Lando Norris priority over Oscar Piastri in F1 title battle With 232 points still available in the drivers’ championship, McLaren have an opportunity to challenge for the title, but Stella acknowledges that prioritizing the driver in the best position is necessary to boost their chances. “The overall concept is we are incredibly determined to win, but we want to win in the right way,” Stella said. “We (will) bias our support to Lando but we want to do it without too much compromise on our principles. “Our principles are that the team interest always comes first. Sportsmanship for us is important in the overall way we go racing. And then we want to be fair to both drivers.” “What we don’t want to see any more is a situation like in Monza in which we enter a chicane P1/P2 and we exit P1/P3. Because that is a detriment to the team,” Stella added. “After Monza, three objectives: we need to make sure that anything that happens on track is not to the detriment of the team. “Second objective, how do we win both championships, both drivers committed to help? “We have to now be in the condition to acknowledge that not only the constructors’ championship is possible, but even from the driver’s point of view, with the performance we have in the car and some of the struggles we see with Red Bull, it is definitely possible,” Stella said. “If we are going to achieve both, we need to put the team and Lando in a position to win both championships.” https://lnkd.in/eKBVtSM2

1️⃣7️⃣ Round 17: Azerbaijan 1️⃣7️⃣ The Tifosi are expecting to ride the high wave after securing a victory on their home turf two weeks ago in Italy. Charles Leclerc pulled all the stop to make the one-stop strategy work beautifully. This week, F1 will head east to Baku, Azerbaijan. The race is hosted in Baku City Circuit, a twisty track that progressively gets narrower, yet this is a place where cars can reach their top speed in the straights. It’s also worth noting that Oliver Bearman will replace the banned Kevin Magnussen in the Haas! So, what should we look out for this weekend? 👀 Ahead of the 2024 race, here’s a little reminder of what happened last season: 🥹 Pérez’s last victory (to date): Sergio Pérez won the sprint race on Saturday and took home the victory in the main race the following day. As of now, this race remained Pérez’s last victory. ⛔ K-Mag’s weekend to forget: Kevin Magnussen suffered a mechanical problem on Friday which left him out of position for Sunday. Despite an electric start, the Dane took damage on the first lap. 🦵 Hamilton got “kicked in the teeth”: Lewis Hamilton was running fifth when he pitted, and only for the Safety Car to appear shortly after Nyck de Vries retired, allowing the field to get a cheap pit stop. The Briton likened this to “getting kicked in the teeth”. What’s your prediction for the Azerbaijan GP? Let us know in the comments below! 👇 ** 🏎 Love seeing Formula One content on LinkedIn? 6️⃣ Round Six: Miami 6️⃣ Two weeks ago in China, we completed our first out of six sprint races this season. This week, F1 will head to “The Sunshine State” — Florida! Hosted in Miami International Autodrome since its inception, the Miami GP will be the first of the three races in the States. The track features a mix of tight and technical sectors with plenty of walls and kerbs. So, what should we look out for this weekend? 👀 Ahead of the 2024 race, here’s a little reminder of what happened in Miami last year: 😳 Qualifying madness: Sergio Pérez qualified on the pole, with Fernando Alonso and Carlos Sainz rounding off the top 3. Kevin Magnussen qualified fourth in Haas’ home Grand Prix. Max Verstappen and Valtteri Bottas could not set a lap after a red flag caused by Charles Leclerc’s crash. 🥇 Super Max in action: Verstappen sensationally charged his way to victory after starting ninth. Pérez and Alonso rounded off the podium. Additionally, the Dutchman tied Sebastian Vettel’s record of 38 wins in a Red Bull. 😒 Magnussen expected more: Magnussen was expecting more than scoring one point after starting as high as fourth, although the Dane particularly enjoyed battling with Leclerc in the Ferrari. What’s your prediction for the Miami GP? Let us know in the comments below! 👇 p/s: Don’t forget that the Miami round is a sprint weekend. ** 🏎 Love seeing Formula One content on LinkedIn? https://lnkd.in/e4Pdm6bG Congratulations to Charles Leclerc and Ferrari for winning the F1 in Monaco. The Championship becomes more interesting, unfortunately the races not. The more equal the race cars the less action we can aspect on the track. The qualification become, in special on street circuits, more important in the whole weekend since overtaking is nearly impossible. Why not make some changes to make it like with DRS more interesting: Why not prohibit a tire change within the first 10 laps of a race? Or, introduce Tracksplit to circuits so overtaking give drivers a little bit more hope during a race. Although it still would be hard in Monaco, at least there is a much bigger opportunity to make an attempt. Now it is boring to watch and for drivers to race.
