Cultural conflicts are all about dilemmas, so here is one for you - a real one: I live in a small mountain village, where we have a fair amount of tourists in the summer and in the ski season. One of our bakeries is baking all day so there is always fresh bread. But who gets it? In our village everybody knows each other. ➡ Here is how it works: All the locals get the bread that has just come out of the oven, while all the tourists get the oldest bread. Moreover, its labor-intensive nature creates employment opportunities, particularly in remote and economically marginalized areas, contributing significantly to rural development, poverty alleviation, and food security. Beyond economic significance, tea brings forth a plethora of health benefits. Its anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and weight loss properties contribute to overall wellness, making it more than just a comforting beverage but a promoter of health. In commemorating International Tea Day, this year’s focus turns to honoring the integral role women play within the tea sector.
