Chat based interfaces have driven the explosion in popularity of GenAI (and still have their place!) but most the business value we're finding when working with our clients is from embedding the underlying capabilities of LLMs into their business processes and applications. #genai #generativeai #taxai

I had a new and somewhat obscure business idea this afternoon. It was just an idea and a very vague business idea at that. It then hit me, 'why not use ChatGPT to flesh it out in more detail?'. Let the games begin! I started prompting ChatGPT with the beginnings of a detailed business plan. Everything from cashflow analysis to the business model, staffing plan, production plan, marketing plan, etc. Now, these things are never perfect on ChatGPT and you have to do the actual ground work eventually to make it come to life in a practical and investable way but in less than an hour, as a complete novice in the proposed business idea area, I have something that looks like a tangible and investable business plan. This is ridiculous, simply and absolutely ridiculous! Generative AI will enable anyone, and I mean anyone, who knows what they are doing, to transform their lives, if they really want to, faster, easier, better, cheaper and smarter than anytime in the history of mankind, to-date! There is a reason why all the thought leaders on Generative AI globally keep saying that it will be bigger than the Internet. The internet connected us and provided us with a global platform for us to create and share content as well as interact in unique and meaningful ways with each other as well as digital platforms at scale. However, the Generative AI era is so much more than the Internet in that it changes the underlying thesis of what we can and cannot do based on using technology in a myriad of hitherto impossible ways. That, right there, is the disruption that Generative AI will bring to everything and everyone.
