So Many Conferences — So Little Time: Which Conference to Visit? I often get asked by companies and industry stakeholders which conferences they should visit or which are worth attending in the first half of the year. I have been in the circle for 25 years now and there is no straight answer. The standard response is, it depends on what you are looking for. If you are looking for general partnering, there are a number of big conferences like the "BIO International Convention" and "#bioeuropespring ", where you can meet people from all over the world. However, there are also some (smaller) regional-focused conferences like the "Swiss Biotech Day #swissbiotechday", which has grown to over 1,800 participants, or the "Asia Bio Partnering Forum #ASIABIO" and "BIO KOREA". There are also therapeutic or technology-focused conferences like "Advanced Therapies" in London, "Festival of Biologics" in San Diego, or "The World Vaccine Congress" in DC. If you are fundraising, there are options like the "BIO CEO & Investor Conference" in NY for more mature (public) companies, "RESI Conferences Life Science Nation (LSN)" (Atlanta and Barcelona) for earlier stage (private) companies, as well as "LSX World Congress" in London or "The Annual European Life Sciences CEO Forum #Sachs_ELSF" in Zurich. Additionally, different investment banks host conferences, of which "JPM JPMorgan Chase & Co." in San Francisco is where the industry meets. For very intimate interactions with other Biotech CEOs, I can recommend the "Biotech CEO Summit CEO Summit by Demy-Colton" in Barcelona and La Jolla. CEBioForum 2024 Last year at the Polonium Foundation meeting in Paris I had a chance to get to know the BioForum Director Magdalena Kulczycka,Ph.D. Today I had a real pleasure to participate in the Central European BioForum meeting in Warsaw, in short: a networking meeting for biotech companies, start-ups, research institutes. It gave me a new biotechnological perspective on the drug design and clinical trials business. If you have never participated, I guess you can count for the CEBioForum 2025 edition, it's an ongoing event since 2000. The goal is also ongoing: how to enable the biotech lab innovation to get to the market.
