THERE ARE NO BAD DESIGNS Okay, please don’t take me out of context, permit me to explain this idea, or at least present the argument as I figured it in my head. There are no bad designs. Some are better than others, some more luxurious than others, some more grand, and some more minimalist, but all generally sound, if designed by an architect worth following standard procedures, and processes. Working in Design studio at school, on briefs prepared by our lecturers, and now on briefs given to me and other co-interns have led me to this conclusion. I wouldn’t call it profound, but still, I find it worth sharing, so I can learn the perspective others have on it. The differentials at the end of the day, when comparing well-designed solutions, would come down to cost efficiency, ease of construction and maintenance, and even the client’s personal preference. I guess in summary, what I mean to say, is that it is awe-inspiring: how different individuals can tackle the same problem, and manage to come up with unique solutions that adequately solve the problems presented by the brief. But those are my thoughts, what do you think? Let’s converse in the comments👇🏾 #revit #internships #architecture #learning #architecturestudent #architecturedesign #architecturelovers #architecturaldesigner #design #architecturaldesign #sketch #sketching #sketches #draw #drawing #designer #archdaily #archdigest

I recently completed a project where I built a linear regression model to predict house prices based on square footage, the number of bedrooms, and bathrooms. This project involved data cleaning, feature engineering, and model training to create an accurate predictor of property values. #prodigyinfotech #Linearregression #Machinelearninginternship

Juab High School Ash DeGrey Total Archery Challenge Feedback about experience, Since I am currently on the search for jobs and careers that I might enjoy, an internship at TAC (Total Archery Challenge) has been perfect. Every job is hands on, which I prefer, and there are always a million things to do. You don’t get bored doing the same job for 10 hours a day every day. The boss stresses on the fact that we (all the employees) need to get along as we all live and work in very close quarters. If there is a problem or a disagreement that can’t be solved among the problemees, it needs to be brought up to the boss and it needs to be handled immediately and diplomatically. I’d say one of the best experiences (from a learning standpoint) at this job has been seeing how the boss works. Seeing how he handles disagreements, how he handles when something goes wrong. Many years of experience have made him very good at coming up solutions on the fly. Reflection on skills gained: Almost all of the skills I have learned from this job are mental. “See a need, fill a need.” Is very big. If there is someone staking down a tent by themselves, naturally, you should go and help them. The team is always filled with tough guys that won’t ask for help, but in most cases, if you offer, your help won’t be refused. I was surprised to see how much my mental strength has improved through this job. Oftentimes, we need to hike many miles through the woods with backpacks filled with precariously strapped targets and steel rebar to set courses, typically in weather that is less than ideal. Cold wet days and super hot days are no strangers to the TAC team. But that is when you use the Boss’s wise words, “Embrace the suck.” The job needs to get done, there is no point in wasting time and energy complaining about it. Along with those powerful words, I’ve learned that having a positive attitude makes a world of difference. Having a positive attitude during a hard job makes the job exponentially better and you also become a beacon for others to look upon. A response (yes, no, or maybe) if they would promote CTE internship to other students.: I would not recomend this internship to other students. TAC has hard days and very long hours. You fit a 40+ hour work week into a weekend. The crew is very well managed because there is a “No BS” boss who will send slackers straight home with no hesitation. This job also has some major time commitments. The longest I’ve been gone from home was 6 weeks, only to be home for a couple of days before I left again. This job does not cooperate with the typical high school student schedule. Mid term hourly check: As I have been in Alaska the past two weeks on vacation, I haven’t been able to work, so my hours haven’t changed from the 14 hours I had shown on my log before I left.

🌍 Advancing Sustainable Public Transportation: Modeling Bus Door Systems at TU Delft 🚍 In public transportation, bus doors face a variety of mechanical stresses, from daily operational demands to more extreme scenarios like heavy objects impacting the door. As cities push towards sustainable and efficient transport systems, it is critical to optimize these components to ensure both safety and durability while minimizing environmental impact. During my 3-month internship at Delft University of Technology, in collaboration with Ventura Bus Lines, I worked on numerical modeling to simulate these real-world conditions, using advanced methods such as solving partial differential equations (like the biharmonic equation). This research is essential as the transportation industry moves toward lighter, more energy-efficient vehicles. The results of this work will contribute to future innovations in public transport systems, where every component must balance strength and weight for better performance. Exciting times ahead for sustainable engineering! 🌱🚍 A big thank you to Dr. domenico lahaye for his guidance and support throughout this project. His expertise was invaluable to the progress made during this internship! #TUdelft #Engineering #PublicTransport #Sustainability #NumericalModeling #Ventura If you want to take a look at my work: https://lnkd.in/eTTPDYNG

Applink:https://lnkd.in/eXVvhRt9 Github:https://lnkd.in/ea-KGd7e 🌟 Excited to Share! 🌟 I am thrilled to announce the successful completion of my Summer internship project titled "Digital Twin of a Ship Hull for Illustrating Biofouling Dynamics." 🚢✨ Throughout this project, I developed a detailed 3D representation of a ship's hull to study and visualize biofouling dynamics, leveraging advanced digital twin technology. This initiative is set to revolutionize marine engineering practices by enabling predictive maintenance and significantly reducing downtime for repairs and maintenance at ports. ⚪ Key Highlights: ⚫ Mesh Hierarchy and Properties: The web application displays the mesh hierarchy of the ship model, allowing users to navigate through different parts of the ship. Each mesh's properties, including material and geometry information, are displayed and can be interacted with by the user. ⚫ Scene Properties: The scene properties, including lighting and camera settings, are configurable within the application, providing users with control over the visualization environment. ⚫ Hotspot Data Integration: We integrated a server setup that updates resistance and temperature values every 10 seconds for specific hotspots on the ship. The data for these hotspots is sourced from a CSV file and will eventually be replaced by real-time sensor data. ⚫ Progressive corrosion display: A timeline control feature is incorporated to update the texture on the mesh every 10 seconds using 10 different images This allows users to see the progression of biofouling over time, providing a dynamic and educational experience.
