Geiger-mode LiDAR has many revolutionary advantages. One of these is the ability to capture data with extremely high resolution and detail. This is enabled by using the photon-counting method, which can detect even the faintest returning light signals. This high sensitivity allows Geiger-mode LiDAR systems to achieve very detailed 3D representations of objects and surfaces with an accuracy in the centimeter-range.
