Belmond is proud to announce the launch of our ‘As Seen By’ photobooks, a new ongoing series produced in partnership with Parisian publishers RVB. Each book presents the unique perspective of a single artist as they explore a different destination around the world. As such, these books champion fresh takes on travel photography. The three launch books focus on the work of three incredible female photographers – Coco Capitán, Rosie Marks and Letizia Le Fur – and cast three iconic Belmond destinations in a new light: Caruso on the Amalfi Coast, Mount Nelson in Cape Town, and the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express in Europe. For more information on this new photobook series, checkout the latest article on the books here: https://lnkd.in/ewx-uqYa #TheArtOfBelmond

The most memorable photos are the ones where you just are, no prompts, no poses, just you. In the delicate art of family photography, the golden rule is to let authenticity lead the way. Forcing poses or moments can not only disrupt the natural flow of the session but also dim the unique spark that each family brings to the lens. It's about creating a space where spontaneity thrives. This approach ensures that the photos reflect the essence of each family. #dallasfamilyphotographer #dallasfamilyportraits #dallasfamilyminisessions #dallasfallfamilyportraits #dallasfallfamilypictures #dallasphotographer #familyphotos #familysession

The latest "shot from the archive" post on my business page.
SHOTS FROM THE ARCHIVE- Image from my industrial photography collection of a welder working on a dragger frame of a fishing boat in New Bedford harbor. This frame is jam-packed with color and details and is an example of the beauty found in the course and rugged scenes of the industrial world. #commercialphotographer #maritimeindustry #industrialphotography #corporatephotography #work

This street photography exploration or as my Professor, Sir Anirban Dutta Gupta mentioned - an ethno-photographic narrative - was one of the most interesting assignment of the entire module. For this, we had to find a key character, who is 'making' or 'creating' something to make their ends meet and had to explore the various aspects of their life in a duration of three day. The task was to capture and select those few photographs than can pretty much sum up to narrate their life around their work. Here are a few of the many photographs. https://lnkd.in/gxwF_FQP

#WorldPhotographyDay (August 19th, 2024) The World Photo Day is an annual, worldwide celebration of the art, craft, science and history of photography. Photography changed our vision of the world, capturing people and places in real time. But with the passing of time, some photographs fade. See how an image may be recovered using the power of an M4 TORNADO especially configured to meet the needs of this heavily faded and damaged historical photograph. The silver X-ray map is able to reproduce the faded portions of the image, while the distribution of iodine in the photograph may provide clues about why this image faded over time. SLOW DOWN AND OBSERVE Shooting with purpose makes us observant, this makes us more considered in the images we take. This image is all about timing. By watching how the couple walked through the evening sun in the Scottish Highlands, I was able to see the silhouette, the gentle hand placement, and look for admiration. When we learn how to shoot like this, our photography excels!
