🌟 Excited to Attend My First Conference: IABMAS 2024 in Denmark! 🌟 I am thrilled to announce that I will be attending the IABMAS 2024 conference in Copenhagen, Denmark, representing IABMAS Sweden. This is my first conference, and I am incredibly excited to share and discuss our research findings with peers from all around the world. At the conference, I will be presenting our paper titled "Modeling Temperature Impact on Sensor Data in Prestressed Concrete Bridges." Here’s a quick summary of our work: 📄 Abstract: Prestressed concrete bridges experience various load scenarios throughout their lifespan, which affects their load capacity and overall performance. Understanding these responses is crucial for ensuring optimal functionality and safety. Our research focuses on differentiating the impact of environmental and operational conditions (EOCs) on sensor data from the actual structural impacts. We developed a novel approach using an artificial neural network (ANN) to map the temperature effect on structural responses. This model was tested on data from a bridge in Northern Sweden, and it successfully distinguished between temperature-induced variations and structural damage, enhancing the accuracy of real-time damage assessment. This work highlights the importance of accurate Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) in maintaining the safety and longevity of critical infrastructure. By integrating machine learning with SHM systems, we aim to improve predictive maintenance and ensure the structural integrity of bridges under various environmental conditions. I look forward to engaging with the amazing community at IABMAS, learning from fellow researchers, and contributing to the ongoing discussions on bridge maintenance and safety.
