EXCLUSIVE: The planned Arkham Asylum TV series is no longer moving forward at Max.
As Variety exclusively reported in October 2022, Antonio Campos had come onboard to serve as writer and showrunner of the series, which was originally meant to be set within the world of Matt Reeves' “The Batman.” But according to an individual with knowledge of the situation, Campos’ version will not proceed. It is still possible, though, that a new project set within the infamous Gotham City asylum could be developed in the future, the individual noted. wp.me/pc8uak-1lEnMg
Big mistake! This show had such astounding potential. So Waller and Creature Commandos gets greenlit but this gets scrapped? At least Matt Reeves' trilogy will continue to succeed.
That's disappointing news about the Arkham Asylum TV series. It seems plans have shifted, but there's hope for future projects set in Gotham City's infamous asylum.
U can now stream, “Humans and Other Species”on Amazon prime; Apple TV; & Google play. This must-see movie was created by the infamous DeVries, who also created, “ Speciesism: The Movie”; an enlightening, well made movie. Check out the trailer here:

Again am reposting because I understand the importance of film promotion and marketing at national, provincial or state level as key elements of film business andI have been driving and championing this film business capacity building conversations for almost a decade now.
Things don't just happen. We must be intentional and pay close attention to how our local creative economy can be deliberately stimulated to contribute it's quota to the economy especially with the current state of our local currency.
In Nigeria, we have the authentic stories, we have the talents but yet the huge gaps in attracting international productions and the limitations such as lack of government incentives, no clear or known intentional plans to promote Nigerian film industry globally by those it's their responsibility, saturation of local market with so much local productions with no plans on distribution except getting to the streamers which has become as hard a camel passing through the eye of a needle.
I could go on and on but with Nigerian International Film & TV Summit we remain committed to the global promotion and increasing the visibility of credible people who make things happen locally and our unheard success stories.
End..

Two REMINDERS following Labor Day: first, this is the final week of radio commercials for my NEW AUDIO version of "The Shocking Disconnect" on Sirius XM Channel 131 Family Talk. Better than tuning in to hear the radio spot, go to Amazon Books, Audible, or i-Tunes to order YOUR copy! Second, if you haven't yet gone to see the new feature-length film, "Reagan", I'd urge you to do so. It's an inspiring "must see" during this present chaotic period in America. Helping companies communicate with their people | Passionate about internal communication | Keynote speaker | Published author | Podcaster | IABC EMENA Region Chair
With all of the discussion about AI and content creation, where does creativity come in? Leigh Sales is one of my favourite Australian journalists and in her latest Australian Story interview she speaks with iconic Australian musician and former politician, Peter Garrett about how the song "Beds are Burning" was created. 🕺I particularly love the awkward dancing in the film clip.
Now there are loads of GenAI tools to help you create your lyrics. Your book titles, your images, well it seems nearly everything. But the question is, when you look at creative processes - pre-AI, were they really so pure? Or are they equally random and just a way of working through ideas to get to what is magic?
🎶 Take Pour Some Sugar on Me by Def Leppard - the scat vocals - phonetic sounds sung to fit the music, were interpreted and refined later into real words/lyrics. Does it really matter where the impulse for creativity comes from?
There are so many examples in the creative world about how inspiration can spark. I have a great case study in my upcoming book, Internal Communication in the Age of Artificial Intelligence, where graphic designer Betina Sørensen was inspired by K-pop music lyrics for a corporate campaign for a large engineering company.
What sparks your creativity? How do you find that concept that lifts your communication campaign to the next level so that it is listened to and resonates?
I'm curious to hear.

Enjoy the song. Talent is always awe-inspiring.
PS thank you to everyone who helped me last week decide to go with "internal communication" in full for my book. I'd very much enjoy a broader discussion about what it should be called but I fear I wouldn't make my copyedit final edits deadline with this one 🤣
My thoughts so far with no clear conclusion:
internal communication = the function that is focused on the communication within the organisation (but then what about employees as advocates? What about communicating with employees through external channels?)
internal communications = the content for the above mentioned function
employee communication = communicating with employees both in and out of the organisation (but does this also mean the board and freelancers?)
organisational communication = sounds a bit boring and could be confused with B2B?
I’m fascinated by the creative process and how it works. Tonight on Australian Story on ABC TV & iview, Peter Garrett lets us inside how Midnight Oil devised its most famous song Beds Are Burning.
