Today! The Bioeconomy is a trillion-dollar opportunity, but we’re struggling to build it. 🔍 The challenge lies in automating the discovery of products that can be produced economically through bio-based manufacturing. Techno-economic analyses (TEAs) are done at the investment stage, when it could be done at the brainstorming stage. 🗺 In order to replace petrochemicals used in 96% of manufactured goods, we would need to map every conceivable way we can make them sustainably. What if these analyses could be done publicly and for free? Executive Director Daniel Goodwin gives a talk about mapping the bioeconomy using AI and TEAs to solve this issue at The Automated Science Conference hosted by the Novo Nordisk Foundation. ✏ This talk is an accumulation of the work Dan, Jesse Lou, kyle barnes, and Mark Hansen have been doing to explore the idea of a multi-scale map for the bioeconomy that is empowered by AI.
