The arrival of new colleagues has brought with it renewed energy, further enriching our team with fresh perspectives and unique talents. And how exciting is the beginning of new projects in Lisbon! 🌟 1 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐉𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚 𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐢𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧… I had my first JustPlay anniversary at the start of June and I really feel like sharing more about the last 12 months. Honestly, when I said yes to the role back in February 2023, it was a totally emotional decision. I had no idea what I was getting myself into (and many friends jumped in to warn me that everything looked too good to be true 😅), but something in my gut told me to go for it. After a short 2-month break, I was ready to dive into this small, non-descriptive startup in the hyper-casual gaming industry – a completely new industry for me. Already on my first day I was invited to a welcome dinner that went well past my bedtime (not such a big achievement, given that I go to bed at 9pm these days), that should have been a spoiler alert for what was to come. What followed were countless team lunches (I still feel nostalgic when I look back at the time when we could all fit on the balcony at lunch in our old office), and the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity of building a team for an already successful product. Looking back on this year, it's been full of highlights: launching our JP Talks (a personal highlight for me every month, as everyone that has worked with me knows that I love this kind of meeting, but is also an opportunity for all of our JustPlayers to come together), organising our first offsite in Abu Dhabi as a one-women show (this deserves its own post!), moving offices, implementing new processes, adding local and global employee benefits, and welcoming many (many!) new JustPlayers to the team. Just like that first dinner, I still have so much fun in my job - with our remote global team and our local one. Trusting my gut and making that emotional decision turned out so much better than I could have ever expected. I get to spend time working with (what I dare say) is probably one of the most dedicated team out there. Here’s to another amazing year!

A Lisbon-based client (with offices in Dubai and London) hired me and my company (Little Rock Experiences) to plan and execute their company's six-day corporate event in Manila and Boracay. They sent 15 of their team members to the Philippines as a thank you for all of their past, present, and future contributions to their organization. Every day for them, since they landed a few days ago, has been a party. From the afternoon to the break of dawn (in the most literal sense). Everyone is still happy, safe, and secure. My team has been stretched and pushed beyond their current limitations. They still come out swinging with smiles on their faces because they learn something new every day. We all enjoy working together, learning from each other, and laughing at our own mishaps. As for me, I've broken two nails, injured one finger, been lacking sleep for the past week, been running, talking, coordinating, and driving non-stop, and am physically exhausted and stressed about the tiny things that don't happen. I also had a minor accident on the flight to Boracay yesterday. On top of all of this, I'm juggling at least four other clients and even attracted a new one over the weekend. No complaints. Ever. I am super grateful for all the chances to turn things around every day and be better than yesterday. Also grateful for all the last-minute and super spontaneous mini events that this team comes up with because it pushes me to do more, to never be complacent, and to work hard for what I never thought and imagined was possible. My thoughts... You can never tell what you're capable of unless you dive right in and just figure it out along the way. You will never be ready enough for the bigger things in life. Just go for it. Additionally, specific scenes were filmed to enhance the video's impact and connection with Accenture's audience. Following its release on various social media platforms and other channels, the video garnered impressive results, accumulating over 21 million views and a high percentage of video completions.
