All eyes were on Valencia College student Omari Jones this summer as he won the bronze medal 🥉 in men's boxing at the 2024 Summer #Olympics. To recognize his impressive accomplishment, the City of Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer presented Omari with something unique: the first "Glove to the City."🥊 Even before Omari dominated in the boxing ring, as a student at Edgewater High School, he was recognized as an Orlando Mayor’s Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Commission Youth Humanitarian for his leadership and advocacy, which included mentoring elementary school children.
