Let's take a look at how he provides quality service on every project he handles. 𝗧𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝘂𝘀 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀. I analyze plans/designs while working closely with the clients, providing good assistance and communication. I supervise the sites and coordinate with my team the necessary records while achieving the desired outputs. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗻-𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺? I often encounter different issues on-site like the incorrect placement of the clamps, tie-rods being tightened incorrectly, and panels were not properly installed. I address these issues by continually guiding and teaching the workers until they do their work properly and install the system accurately. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗷𝗼𝗯 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗠𝗘𝗩𝗔? I love how the MEVA Family treats each other fairly and kindly, they assist and guide me on my professional needs. MEVA provided a great change in my career life, and since then I learned more about my job and the industry we are in. 𝗢𝘂𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂'𝘃𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗹𝗲𝗱, 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗵 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗱 𝗼𝗳? The best experience I had out of all the projects I handled was with the Park Central Tower Project which comprised of two towers. I was responsible for overseeing the use of the MEVA Automatic Climbing System and the MEVA Guided Screen System, ensuring the successful completion of the North and South Towers. Today marks my last day in my role as General Manager at SAFI Valves. Over the past five and a half years, we've been through some remarkable transformations. When I first joined, everything needed modernising, our processes were outdated - orders printed on dot matrix printers and a typewriter in the office. I quickly initiated changes, restructuring the sales team for better customer focus and accountability. We modernized, bidding farewell to a few team members and we threw the typewriter out the window. By the end of my first year, we were surging with momentum and enthusiasm. I presented an ambitious business plan to the rest of the board, propelling us into a period of growth and we had serious momentum. But then, an unprecedented challenge: the global pandemic. As a first time leader, I had to ensure our team felt supported. We all adapted swiftly, pivoting to supply valves to different industries and despite the chaos, we weathered the storm without laying off staff or missing payments to suppliers. Three and a half years in, we faced another setback with the sudden departure of one of our team. For the last 18 months we've struggled to find a replacement, I found myself shouldering extra duties alongside my regular responsibilities - effectively doing two jobs and it was tough. Like really tough. The workload became overwhelming and I'll be the first to admit that I was slipping in all areas - I just couldn't keep up. I turned to alcohol as a coping mechanism - quite often drinking two bottles of wine a night to get me through. A friend's (Paul Tansey) observation shook me - I'd lost the spark from my eyes. Recognizing the toll it was taking on me and my family, I made the tough decision to resign at the end of 2023. Quitting was a turning point and one that you should never worry about taking if it's for your own benefit. At the end of last year, I took a much-needed break from alcohol, prioritizing my well-being and focusing on what could make me happier. Today, as I bid farewell to my team, I'm filled with gratitude for their unwavering dedication. Their passion and diligence have been the backbone of our success and I fully expect 2024 to be the best on record. As I transition to a new challenge outside the valve/water industry, I'm eager to spend time with family, reflect on my journey, and embrace fresh opportunities - starting on Monday. To everyone who has been part of the journey, thank you for your support. Brita Staal kom bokstavelig talt ramlende inn i livet mitt for snart seks år siden. En dag dukket hun opp med bustete sykkelhjelmsveis og et svært påskrudd hode som flommet over av interessante tanker. Jeg ble og fortsetter å være utrolig fasinert over Brita som hadde rukket å bli president i klimaorganisasjonen Protect Our Winters Europe ved siden av spennende jobber i Brio og Staples. Det var starten på en profesjonell "kjærlighetshistorie" som har utviklet seg til et faglig samarbeid jeg er veldig stolt av og som siden har blitt til et titalls felles kronikker, podcastepisoder, foredrag og en fast spalte i Teknisk Ukeblad. Vi jobber sammen fordi vi tror på ærlig og kunnskapsbasert formidling om klima og naturkrisens årsak, konsekvenser og løsninger. Verden skriker nå etter den som gjør noe, ikke etter den som kan forklare hvorfor man ikke gjorde det.
