What we mean? When we say Dream Job? Is it 100 LPA jobs? Noooo. Those People get Dream Jobs who are clear about their goal/aim/vision of their lives. Who know what industries are there in the market. Hoteliers opt for Taj Hotels , Oberoi Hotels & Resorts , Hyatt Hotels Corporation etc. IT and Engineers people opt for Infosys , Deloitte , Microsoft , Accenture in India Cognizant etc. CA/Accounts people opt out for Big-4's Deloitte , KPMG US , KPMG , PwC etc. Doctors opt for biggest multi-speciality hospitals Fortis Healthcare , Medanta etc. So for, All the professions, All the locations, All the places. Don't you think First there should be a target for people that where they want to apply, Then they do need a bridge to be on-board? This is why we are here. And this is how a Dream Job works. One can not just stand and say I have done this and want to get this job right there. Why it's always, People like to have sales-person around to tell the features of the car they are looking to buy. But they don't want somebody to guide for their Jobs which eventually will help them to buy that car? Are they smart enough to look for their jobs by themselves? Or is it the EGO factor that comes OHH IF I HAVE TO TAKE HELP PEOPLE WILL DOUBT MY CALIBER? Please people We will not sit in the interview with you. It will be you only who will clear the Interviews. No one is going to judge you, and if someone will it is their problem not yours. So Let me conclude it right here. Having a successful #consulting career as #WorkingParent – quite a challenge, don’t you think? At #Accenture we try do our best to enable sustainable career paths and not having to make a choice between career or family.   Today, together with Jana Esmail I had a pleasure to host the Zürich Hub of our ASG Working Parents Community during our quarterly Breakfast Series. It was an open and productive exchange about what has been proven to be working in support of the working parents’ workforce and where we see room for improvement. Interestingly, the support services and offerings differ a lot depending on a country even if you work for the same company. Laura Meinert thank you sharing the HR updates. Alone the flexibility in work schedule and contract adjustment is a huge differentiator and makes us stand out. We did not shy out from the difficult questions such as performance targets and career growth of part-time employees.   There is definitely work that needs to be done and it is a bottom-up initiative; but it speaks volumes to have our leadership actively engaged in such discussions. If people think that they can do almost every single work by themselves? If people think they don't need any partner in life? If they think they don't need any person to help them for job? If they think they don't need any teacher/idol/aim/goal or whatever helps them to rise/grow/guide in their life? Without Immigration offices they can apply their files too right? But they opt not to do it by themselves. What is the reason behind this? Are they filled with EGO? Or Are they less aware about what is happening in this real world? So over the last week i have been kindly reminded by many of my network that it is my 4 year work anniversary with NTT DATA Business Solutions UK&I. Nothing like bringing back the memory of sitting next to your MD at the Christmas party before even joining the company! As I reflect on my 4 years with NTT DATA , I can't help but feel a sense of profound growth and learning, so wanted to share some of my key takeaways of the journey so far: 1️⃣ Embrace Every Opportunity: Opportunities are everywhere, sometimes hidden in challenges. Whether they are doors opened by others or chances that arise unexpectedly, it's crucial to just dive in - BE BRAVE. The question I often ask myself is, "What's the worst that could happen?" This mindset has led me to some uncharted territories and personal growth. 2️⃣ The Power of Culture: If there's one thing that stands out in NTT DATA Business Solutions UK&I, it's the power and importance of the culture. The way we interact, support each other, and navigate our engagements with Customers is pivotal - always going above and beyond, always putting our clients first, always having each others backs. 3️⃣ Fail Fast and Innovate: In the fast-paced world we operate in, failure isn't just inevitable; it's necessary. The key is to fail fast, learn faster, and use these insights to drive innovation and new ways of working. Ultimately we don't always move as fast as we as team would like, but i really believe that this approach, when we get it right, really helps to bolster our resilience and massively improve our creativity 4️⃣ Team Over Individual: My role as a leader particularly in Business Development has been primarily about removing any obstacles for my team, helping them to thrive and excel. I am lucky to work with a group of Solution Advisors with brains the size of planets, so getting them to harness their collective power together is awe-inspiring with outputs that are always greater than the sum of the parts 5️⃣ The Importance of Taking Breaks: Guilty as charged – I've often overworked. However, I've learned that stepping back and taking time out is crucial. It’s not just about resting; it's about gaining a fresh perspective, renewing energy, and coming back stronger. For me, starting and ending the day with a walk with my dogs, regardless of the weather, has been a game changer in maintaining this balance. As I embark on another year with NTT DATA Business Solutions UK&I, these lessons remain my guiding stars. A great company to work for, and am loving the ride!

While going through the post of Gaurav Mehta who is great friend of mine, more than a friend, is a mentor, in which he was talking about to join an organization only for a 4% hike, it reminded me an incident in 2006 when I joined Convergys with another job in hand with Keane India with 50% higher salary. I went through a rigorous interview process and landed a job as an Assistant Manager at Convergys, with a joining date of May 2. While serving my notice period at GECIS, I received another offer from Keane India with a 50% higher salary. On top of that, I would have gone to the USA with a team for six months to transition an accounting process. It was an incredibly tempting offer. However, Keane India did not provide an offer letter before my joining date with Convergys. I made it clear that I needed the offer by May 1, or I would honour my commitment to Convergys. When May 1 passed without an offer letter, I joined Convergys on May 2. To my surprise, Keane India contacted me on my first day at Convergys, asking me to join immediately and even sent a copy of my air ticket to the USA. Despite the temptation, I stuck to my principles and decided not to leave Convergys after just one day. Sticking to my word paid off in ways I could not have imagined: 1. Keane India wound up their business in India within a year. 2. I was promoted twice within two years at Convergys. 3. I became the Head of Business Finance & Pricing Function. This experience taught me that sometimes, short-term gains may seem lucrative, but staying true to your principles and commitments can shape your life in ways you never expected.
